The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 941

Dean replied, "I'll be there right away!"

Soon, the elevator doors slid open, and Matthew and Pierre rushed out. They quickly made their way toward the operating room, where Devin was pacing anxiously outside.

When he spotted Pierre, he hurried over and said, "What should we do? They're still not out yet."

Pierre tried to calm Devin down. "Let's not panic. Tell me what happened first. Why is Maddock in surgery?"

"They found some issues with his liver during a routine checkup," Devin explained frantically. "It's gallstones. They said he needed immediate surgery."

Matthew furrowed his brow. While gallstones did require surgery, it was not usually this urgent. He could not shake the feeling that the hospital was exaggerating the severity to make more money.

Pierre shared Matthew's concerns as he paced back and forth. He knew hospitals often inflated the urgency of non-emergency cases, making it seem like every second counted. However, since Maddock was already in surgery, suggesting to stop now would be truly dangerous.

Meanwhile, Devin's anxiety only worsened when he noticed Pierre's silence. He said, "Alright, just tell me what's going on. Even though we received compensation for what happened to Mom last time, I still can't help but worry."

Pierre stopped in his tracks. "Whatever the situation is, we can't stop the surgery now that it's started."

Devin grew more anxious as he noticed his cousin's distrust of the surgeons. He stood by the doors, staring intently as time ticked by painfully slow.

"Nothing bad will happen, right?" Devin asked, his patience wearing thin.

Pierre shook his head. "Even if they remove part of the liver, as long as it's less than half, it can regenerate. It shouldn't be a major issue."

Devin's face lit up for the first time. "Really? That's such a relief. I've been so tense, and I've had this terrible feeling."

"This time will be different," Pierre said, giving a comforting pat on Devin's shoulder. "In a year, Maddock will recover fully."

Devin nodded. "That's great. I'm just glad he'll recover."

Matthew was surprised by Pierre's suggestion, but given their previous experience, he agreed that it was necessary. "Let's go in together."

With Matthew's support, Pierre felt more confident. He walked to the operating room door and tried to push it open.

However, a doctor immediately blocked their path. "Family members aren't allowed in here!"

Pierre headed straight for the desk near the operating room and declared, "I'm a doctor too!"

One of the doctors panicked and tried to stop Pierre. "Hospital rules state that only surgeons involved in this operation can enter. You can't be here! Get out!"

Pierre tried to push forward but was not strong enough. Seeing this, Matthew strode toward the desk.

As Matthew approached, a nearby doctor's face went pale. The doctor, Vince Lowell, quickly grabbed a medical cooler from under the desk, backing away while shouting, "What are you doing? There's nothing in this cooler!"
