The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 954

But it was too late for regrets now. There wasn't any use for it.

Alexis stared at Matthew with the handcuffs in hand, asking, "Are you sure you don't want to cooperate?"

Matthew stared right back at Alexis sharply. "Aren't you here to arrest the criminals, and not the victims?"

Alexis frowned. She had no idea how she should respond, but she would be guilty of arresting victims if she handcuffed Matthew now.

In the end, she decided to give in and nodded her head. "Alright then. I won't handcuff you. Come on. Let's head to the station for the record."

But Matthew stood motionless, saying, "No."

Then, Alexis raised a brow. "Are you not gonna cooperate?"

At that, Matthew pointed at both Devin and Pierre, saying, "You gotta undo their handcuffs too. They're victims as well."

Having heard that, Alexis felt a little irritated. She had already handcuffed them, and it would be somewhat embarrassing if she had to undo them again.

Alexis stared at Matthew for the longest time. It was the first time she had ever met someone so persistent, and she noticed that he never budged, or let his expression fluctuate even a little.

In the end, she could only concede. "Fine. I'll get someone to undo them."

Once the handcuffs on Pierre's hands were removed, he massaged around his wrist and looked at Matthew gratefully. If it weren't for Matthew this time round, he would have long been dead in the hands of the security guards alongside Devin.

Pierre felt that he should say something. "Thank you. I'll take you to retrieve the medical literature once this case is closed."

Initially, Matthew had thought that he had to help Pierre with completing all of his revenge written in the Grudge Diary. He never thought he'd be able to acquire the medical literature with such ease.

Just as he was about to reply, Alexis cut in from the side, "Don't talk."

Matthew then closed his mouth and nodded at Pierre.

Pierre shook his head as he replied, "That medical literature… To be honest, it's difficult for me to describe what the medical skills written in it are like. Hell, difficult would be an understatement.

"I've got to say that the medical skills stated inside all sound ridiculous. It's not worth anything at all, so I don't know why you insist on having that book."

Matthew was a little shocked to hear such a description of the medical literature from Pierre. Out of the Eight Medical Sects, he had already collected the medical literature from seven sects, and each of them was worth a king's ransom.

The medical skills recorded in the medical literature were immensely valuable as well, and the Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine was the fundamental book of Harmona Sect.

Hence, Matthew couldn't understand why Pierre had such a low evaluation of the Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine.

"No way," Matthew said.

But Pierre shook his head and said, "I'm not lying. When I was cleaning up the house back then, I sold all my worn clothes and old books to the junk collector.

"He gave me a dollar for the medical literature, and he even said that he wouldn't have given me a dollar for it if it weren't for the fact that I sold a bunch of items to him!"
