The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 978

However, Tessa still couldn't get used to the feeling of the exoskeleton doing the walking for her when she didn't actively move her legs. It still made her uncomfortable.

It felt like her soul had left her body, watching the exoskeleton moving her body for her. Meanwhile, she was controlling the exoskeleton. Everything felt bizarre as though it wasn't happening. It really felt like a dream.

With those thoughts in her mind, Tessa took the elevator to the rooftop.

The sun was blazing hot today. The researchers on the rooftop were sweating bullets, getting impatient from the heat.

Wearing tattered camouflage clothing and safety helmets, two men were on the scaffolding laying bricks. They were building a pillar as thick as a person's arm.

Tessa was taken aback when she saw that pillar. The video showed the lifestreamer breaking seven bricks, but this was way more than that.

Each of the layers had six bricks, and there were 70 layers. The structure was as tall as a building and as thick as a bridge pier, solid and unmoving.

Leander chuckled. "Climb onto the scaffolding. Let's get started."

Tessa shook her head. "Stop pulling my leg. How am I supposed to break them?"

Smiling, Leander added, "We've raised the power limit this time. How can you know the result if you don't try?"

Meanwhile, Trent held his phone to video recording and grinned. "This is the moment we've all been waiting for. I'm kind of excited. Hurry up and get up there."

The metal fist gradually tightened, looking just like a sledgehammer. It slowly rose above her head, stopping in midair.

Tessa took a deep breath before holding it. Then, she issued a command in her head.

The metallic fist came down with a whoosh and hit the top of the brick pillar. Then, a sharp crack rang out. The sound was so loud that the air itself was trembling.

After that, everything went silent, as if time had stopped. The brick pillar shook a little and dust fell, but nothing much happened.

Tessa furrowed her brows. Even if the punch didn't destroy the brick pillar entirely, the top layers should at least crack.
