The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 313

The next morning, Finnegan rose early to cultivate.

After having breakfast with Bernice, confirming she had no plans to go out, he headed to Jerome Medical Clinic.

Since treating Cindy the previous night, his positive energy had recovered to about ten percent.

He wished to treat more patients in order to fully restore his positive energy.

He considered it a life-saving measure for unforeseen situations, similar to when Romona was injured.

If positive energy hadn't been present back then, she would most probably have lost her life.

Upon reaching Jerome Medical Clinic, he encountered Hailey standing at the entrance, dressed in a tight-fitting skirt that turned the heads of men.

Clearly, Hailey was gorgeous and had a voluptuous figure.

Seeing her, Finnegan couldn't help but feel helpless. “Why are you here?”

Hailey looked nervous. “Didn't you say that after dealing with the Sable family's matters, I could stay by your side?”

She had completed the handover of her responsibilities at Regi Group the previous night and rushed to Jerome Medical Clinic early in the morning.

Finnegan frowned. Deep down, he didn't really want Hailey by his side as she was too calculating.

However, since he had made the offer, he couldn't retract it now. “Let's talk inside.”

Upon entering the clinic, Finnegan greeted Jerome and his team, then led Hailey to the backyard.

As he sat down, Hailey stood straight beside him.

Looking at her, Finnegan asked, “If you don't want to stay by my side, I can give you ten million.”

Although he wasn't fond of Hailey, it couldn't be denied that she played a significant role in suppressing the Sable family.

It wouldn't be right to turn against her completely.

Anxiously, Hailey responded, “I don't want the money. I just want to be by your side, even if it's just being a maid who serves tea.”

Finnegan's tone was stern. “Is that all you want?”

“I...”

She wanted to say yes.

Though the words were on the tip of her tongue, Hailey chose to respond honestly, “I have a hunch that your current achievements are far from your limit. You will definitely achieve more in the future. So, I want to be by your side, to strive for genuine wealth and prosperity!”

Finnegan's expression softened slightly. “I appreciate your honesty. However, you should understand that initially, I only wanted to use you; I didn't genuinely want to keep you by my side.”

Hailey said, “I know. So, when I work for you, I dare not have any hidden motives. I hope my actions can change your attitude.”

Fearful that Finnegan might change his mind, Hailey knelt on the ground.

“Please accept me. From this moment forward, I promise to be loyal to only you!”

Seeing the kneeling woman in front of him, Finnegan lifted her delicate chin with his hand.

He asked, “Even if I asked you to accompany other men for the sake of profit, would you still obey me?”

Gritting her teeth, Hailey replied, “If you want me, I can sacrifice myself without hesitation. But if you only see me as a tool, then I'll leave now. I don't want to be just another woman used for desires.”

At this point, Hailey raised her head to look straight into Finnegan's eyes. “But I believe you won't let a woman without principles stay by your side, right?”

So, compared to before, everyone was a bit busier. Finnegan had just sat down when more than ten patients lined up in front of him.

His medical skills had been acknowledged by everyone after several demonstrations. Even though he looked young, no one doubted him.

Finnegan did not disappoint them, successfully treating almost every patient.

Even when dealing with a patient running a fever close to forty degrees, Finnegan merely used acupuncture to induce a heavy sweat, which restored the patient's normal body temperature. There wasn't even a need for medication.

In less than an hour, he had already seen nearly thirty patients, which was two to three times the number that Jerome and his team had seen.

As a result, many patients who were originally queuing on Jerome's side had come running over.

“Dr. Larkin, please take a look at me. My leg has been in pain since it was dislocated and reset last month. I spent tens of thousands at the hospital but to no avail. And my head, I feel dizzy and lethargic every morning, even though I've had enough sleep.”

“I've been having digestive issues lately. I don't eat much, but my stomach is always bloated and uncomfortable.”

Toward the end, Jerome, Kenneth, and Kenneth's two students had no more patients waiting in line. They all gathered around Finnegan.

This made one of Kenneth's students smile bitterly. “I'm a medical master's degree holder and worked as a doctor in a hospital under Regi Group for three years. But how come I feel that compared to Mr. Larkin, I'm not even an apprentice?”

Kenneth patted the student on the shoulder and said, “Don't feel bad; I share your feelings. In front of Mr. Larkin, I feel like I've just started.”

“Master, you're being modest, aren't you?”

Kenneth shook his head. “This is not being humble. It's the truth. If I were Mr. Larkin, I could cure these patients, but there's absolutely no way I could achieve instant healing, let alone at such a fast pace.”

Jerome smiled and chimed in, “So, since you two have chosen to stay, take the opportunity to learn more from my master. It will definitely benefit you for a lifetime.”

Just as Jerome finished speaking, a loud roar from Jacques echoed from outside, “Finnegan, get out and kneel down to beg for my mercy!”
