Alisha abruptly slammed on the brakes.
Her beautiful eyes suddenly sparkled. “Darling, you must have sneaked a peek, didn't you?”
“I'm not interested!”
Finnegan nodded, signaling her to continue driving.
With a huff, Alisha stepped on the gas. “But what on earth is going on? Who would want to harm Mdm. Yeatman?”
Finnegan replied, “It's not that someone wanted to harm Mdm. Yeatman, but rather, someone wanted to use Mdm. Yeatman to harm your grandpa.”
“Harm my grandpa?”
Nodding, Finnegan voiced his speculation, “Mdm. Yeatman was Norman's wife, a wife he could never forget. If she were to die, and someone later revealed the matters concerning Human Face Corpse Fish and the evil coffin, do you think Norman would believe your grandpa?”
In an instant, Alisha understood. “By then, Norman would be in a state of rage. He would definitely not listen to my grandpa's explanation. He might even go straight into battle with my grandpa!”
“You aren't stupid, after all!”
Rolling her eyes at Finnegan, Alisha asked, “Who do you think would use Mdm. Yeatman to frame my grandpa and instigate a conflict between the Wahlstrom and Dunn families?”
Yawning, Finnegan said, “Just focus on Seth and Tyrone. It's definitely one of those two.”
Seth had done something similar in the past.
Tyrone and the Wahlstrom family were together in appearance but not in spirit, and he certainly had his own motives.
Next, Tyrone arranged the guards at Fleur Villa, giving him an absolute advantage.
Alisha's face was slightly cold as she said, “I also believe that they are the most likely suspects. I will thoroughly investigate this.”
Forty minutes later, Alisha dropped Finnegan back at Dragon Bay.
As soon as he entered the door, Rhiannon came bounding over. “Finn, you've been living with Ms. Zimmerman. Why didn't you tell me?”
With a face full of sorrow, she asked, “Does this mean I should visit you less in the future to avoid disturbing your world for two?”
Finnegan, speechless, lightly tapped her head. “You're always welcome at my place. Bernice isn't someone without a sense of propriety. But why did you come back tonight? Don't you usually stay at Ms. Lindsey's place?”
Right then, Bernice called out to them, “You siblings should have a seat and talk.”
With a giggle, Rhiannon went over and sat down, hugging Bernice's arm. Only then did she respond to Finnegan, “I miss you, so I came to see you. Also, Ms. Lindsey's brother has come to Jadeborough. It's not convenient for me, an outsider, to stay there, so I plan to stay with you for a few days!”
Finnegan asked, “Does Ms. Lindsey have a brother?”
Rolling her eyes, Rhiannon retorted, “If not? Ms. Lindsey isn't an orphan. She not only has a brother but also parents.”
Clearing his throat, Finnegan also realized that he had asked a pointless question.
He swiftly changed the subject. “Have you visited Mom at the hospital these past few days?”
Rhiannon replied, “I visited her this afternoon, and Mom's recovery is going well. She should be able to be discharged from the hospital in a few days. Also, Dad will return to work after he's discharged, so you don't need to worry.”
Finnegan said, “Keep an eye on Mom and Dad for me. I've been quite busy lately.”
Of course, Finnegan wasn't truly busy. He was just afraid that his presence would cause trouble for his parents.
The corner of Finnegan's mouth twitched slightly. What's with Rhia? Can't she be a bit observant? How could she talk about other women in front of her future sister-in-law?
Not bad! Bernice pulled Rhiannon to her feet. “Rhia, why don't you sleep with me tonight? I've just bought you a set of jewelry. Try it on.”
After a session of cultivation, Finnegan had his breakfast and then headed to the study, ready to check for any news on UnderNet.
However, upon opening it, there was still no news from the Blood Moon headquarters, nor was there anyone seeking his medical assistance.
That left Finnegan quite helpless. “It seems that getting the address of the Blood Moon headquarters won't be easy!”
Nevertheless, he wasn't bothered by the fact that no one had asked for his medical assistance. Well, it's their loss!
Subsequently, he logged out of UnderNet and shut down the computer, ready to take things one step at a time.
At that moment, Rhiannon rushed in, “Finn, could you accompany me to Ms. Langdon's place later?”
“It's just right next door. You can go by yourself,” Finnegan said, exasperated. “And can you please dress more appropriately? You're already a twenty-one-year-old young woman.”
Dressed in a light, airy nightgown, Rhiannon came over with a smile and wrapped her arms around Finnegan's arm. “Ms. Langdon said she would send me a gift, and I thought you could help me check it out. As for my attire, I'll definitely wear whatever is comfortable at home!”
Finnegan withdrew his hand, raising it to lightly tap her on the head. “Indeed, comfort is key to how you dress. But you're not a little girl anymore. You need to understand that there are differences between men and women, even if I am your brother. So hurry up and change your clothes. From now on, I won't allow you to dress like that at home!”
Rubbing her head, Rhiannon grumbled, “You're so mean, Finn, always picking on me. Just you wait! You're coming with me to Ms. Langdon's place!”
After changing her clothes in her room, Rhiannon forcefully dragged Finnegan to Dragon Bay No. 2 Villa.
It seemed as if Mandy had known all along that Rhiannon would visit. She was already waiting in the garden, standing next to a red Maserati sports car.
Rhiannon let go of Finnegan's hand and ran over. “Mandy, you said you'd give me a car. It wouldn't happen to be this one, would it?”
Finnegan, who had been reluctantly dragged there, widened his eyes, a twitch playing at the corner of his mouth. “Mandy, what on earth are you doing? Don't you think I can afford to buy a car for Rhia?”
