The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 351

Eugene exclaimed, “Finnegan, you want me to step in? I can't win!”

Before Finnegan could respond, something unexpected happened.

From the rooftop behind, a figure in a black robe suddenly leaped down, pushing forward with one hand.

The powerful gust of energy swept through, sending two martial alliance disciples flying before they even had a chance to react. They crashed into several young men and women, causing them to cry out in pain.

Upon seeing the attire of the man in the black robe, as well as the aura he exuded, Holger's eyes widened in surprise, his mouth agape.

The cigar he had been holding slipped from his grasp, tumbling down onto his collar and sliding off.

“Ah!” Holger cried out in pain, hopping on the spot as he hastily shed his clothes. Only then did the cigar fall out.

Several blisters had already formed on his body.

However, Holger was already too preoccupied to care about the pain. His gaze fixated on the man in the black robe as he swallowed hard, “What brings you here, Mr. Sheppard?”

Mr. Sheppard? The people around him, who had come with him, were all taken aback, unsure as to why Holger suddenly seemed as if he had seen a ghost.

The man in the black robe removed his hood, revealing a chiseled face.

Though he was around the age of sixty, he exuded a sense of solemness akin to a mountain.

Curious as ever, Eugene's eyes widened, and he blurted out, “Master Josef Sheppard!”

Josef was one of the vice chairman of Loang's Martial Arts Alliance.

He presided over Martial Arts Alliance of Jipsdale, holding control over all the branches in Loang's southern region.

In Martial Arts Alliance, he stood second to none, towering above thousands!

Eugene, who loved to brandish swords and spears and aspired to become a martial artist, had seen Josef on television more than once.

“It's actually Mr. Sheppard. When did he arrive in Capston?”

“Is Mr. Holger done for this time? He's actually crossed paths with Mr. Sheppard.”

“Who exactly is this young man? It seems he's the one who called Mr. Sheppard over.”

“Don't worry about who he is. All that matters is that we can't afford to mess with him!”

Among those young men and women who were following Holger, some recognized Josef. Involuntarily, they all took a step back, creating some distance from Holger.

Holger swallowed hard again, his legs already trembling. He tried to speak, but...

Slap!

Josef slapped Holger across the face from a distance. “You are a disciple of Martial Arts Alliance. Your father is one of the vice presidents of Martial Arts Alliance in the state. As such, you should have been proactive in promoting the spirit and reputation of the Alliance. Instead, you've committed such an act of tyranny and domination. What should be your punishment?”

Holger fell to the ground, disregarding the pain in his cheek as he hurriedly crawled on his knees. “Mr. Sheppard, I was wrong. Please spare me.”

He paused, pointing at Judah, who was shivering at the side. “He was the one who beguiled me. You see, he said as long as I supported him, he would pay his respects every month...”

Once again, Josef slapped Holger. “It wouldn't have happened if you didn't have the temptation from the start. How dare you still argue with me?”

Finnegan cleared his throat and said, “Mr. Sheppard, how should we deal with someone who abuses the power of Martial Arts Alliance, acts recklessly, breaks the law, and harms the innocent?”

Upon hearing that, Josef turned around, his tone now carrying a hint of reverence. “A single strike to end his life will be enough to atone for his sins!”

“What are you still waiting for, then? Isn't the evidence sufficient?”

Holger's face changed drastically instantly. “No, Mr. Sheppard, please don't!”

A murderous glint flashed in Josef's eyes as he raised his hand and forcefully slammed it down.

A tremendous force pressed down from the void, causing Holger's body to shudder. His internal organs were shattered in an instant.

With wide eyes, Holger slowly fell to the ground. His eyes remained open in death.

After Finnegan had left, he composed a text message and sent it to Durbaine: Mr. Larkin has promised to quell the chaos in Nuthana's Martial Arts Alliance.

Fifteen minutes later, a message from Martial Arts Alliance headquarters in Durbaine was sent to Nuthana's Martial Arts Alliance: At ten o'clock tomorrow morning, all the elders will gather in the main hall for a meeting. The election of the new president will be presided over by a commissary from headquarters.

Concerned that walls have ears and that the truth might cause unnecessary trouble, Finnegan chose a method that everyone could accept.

Upon hearing that, Samuel didn't harbor any doubts. “I never imagined you'd be so outstanding. When I first heard about your engagement with Bernie, I wondered if you're suitable for her. Now, it seems you're the one out of Bernie's league. “

Bernice's face turned red. “Grandpa!”

She herself had already harbored such thoughts, even going so far as to move to Dragon Bay to keep an eye on Finnegan.

At that moment, Samuel even outright said that she was out of his league, which was somewhat of a blow to her, who had been excellent since childhood.

Finnegan chuckled, “Bernie is exceptional enough to be admitted to Jadeborough University at the age of fourteen. At eighteen, she entered Durbaine University, and within two years, she had obtained her master's degree. After joining Firebird Group, she managed to multiply the company's market value in just a few years. Moreover, setting all else aside, Bernie is considered the most beautiful woman in Jadeborough. If anything, it is she who's out of my league.”

After hearing Finnegan's words, Bernice felt much more at ease.

Samuel laughed. “I was the one talking nonsense. Neither of you is out of each other's league. Both of you are a match made in heaven.”

At the side, Eugene excitedly said, “That's right. Finnegan even mentioned introducing me to a highly skilled master who would teach me martial arts. Grandfather, you all wouldn't object, would you?”

Samuel and the others were taken aback, exchanging glances, showing some hesitation.

If possible, they still hoped that Eugene would carry on the family tradition of educating others.

Seeing the hopeful expression on Eugene's face, Hector asked solemnly, “Finny, who is the master you introduced?”

Finnegan replied, “Master Josef Sheppard, vice chairman of Martial Arts Alliance.”

Upon hearing that, Hector was slightly stirred. “If it really is Master Josef Sheppard, we have no objections.”

Eugene was even more excited. “Finnegan, you're not fooling me, are you?”

“You'll know the truth once I take you to meet him tomorrow.”

“Okay!”
