The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 375

What's going on here?

With an imposing momentum, Leonardo, who was accompanied by nearly a hundred people, was surprisingly knocked over by Finnegan with just a single kick.

Everyone at the scene wore a look of utter bewilderment.

After a moment of bewildered silence, Sabrina angrily shouted, “How dare you hit Leo? Are you all blind? Why aren't you guys doing something to avenge Leo?”

However, Leonardo quickly clutched his stomach and stood up.

“Nobody move!” he said, stopping his subordinates who were about to rush forward.

Sabrina stared at him in confusion. “Leo, you—”

“Shut up!” roared Leonardo in fury.

Suddenly, Sabrina became even more bewildered.

She had never been yelled at by Leonardo like this before, regardless of whether she was right or wrong.

At this moment, Leonardo didn't have time to explain. He walked back to Finnegan and said, “Mr. Larkin, there must be some misunderstanding here. I didn't know that my sister had offended you, nor did I say I wanted to kill you and your entire family!”

He took the initiative to explain himself without even asking for a reason.

This scene deeply shocked the majority of those present.

How did the right-hand man of Mr. Calandrino lose his nerve?

Finnegan's classmates found it even harder to accept.

Was this still the same Finnegan who had been so frightened that he had run away from home to seek refuge?

Meanwhile, Finnegan didn't care about what everyone else was thinking. He casually slapped Leonardo's face, “A misunderstanding?”

“It must have been a misunderstanding!”

Bam!

Finnegan lifted his leg and once again knocked Leonardo to the ground. “I heard it with my own ears when your sister called. You promised her that you would kill me once you got here, and now you're telling me it's a misunderstanding?”

Leonardo spat out a mouthful of fresh blood.

However, he dared not show any emotion, clutching his chest as he said, “Mr. Larkin, I was wrong. I'm sorry!”

Sabrina quickly pulled him aside and asked, “Leo, what's wrong with you? You're one of Mr. Calandrino's men, how could you—”

“Shut up!”

In a state of panic, Leonardo swiftly slapped Sabrina.

He feared that if Sabrina continued speaking, his life would be in jeopardy, perhaps even inexplicably so.

Sabrina had never seen Leonardo like this before, and was so frightened that she completely lost her ability to speak.

With a cold huff, Finnegan's gaze shifted onto Christopher, “Where's your father? If he's still—”

“Who dared to lay a hand on my son? Such audacity!”

As they were speaking, Beckett, who had just had his head bandaged at the hospital, approached with his bodyguards, his face full of anger.

He had been beaten, and his son had gotten into trouble, so his mood was quite poor at the moment.

Christopher, who was still terrified from being scolded by Leonardo, was overjoyed. He quickly rushed forward, exclaiming, “Dad, you're finally here!”

Beckett looked his son up and down, furrowing his brows as he asked, “Didn't you say you were beaten?”

“I was indeed beaten, but it was a minor issue. However, all my bodyguards were injured in their efforts to protect me,” Christopher explained vaguely.

By saying that, Christopher immediately made himself the victim who was being bullied.

With a hint of amusement, Finnegan couldn't help but ask, “Mr. Royle, do you really believe that someone would want to bully your son for no reason?”

Upon hearing the sound, Beckett's expression subtly changed.

Why is it him again?

Christopher, however, was still oblivious to the situation. He blatantly lied in front of everyone, “It was this punk, Dad. I tried to stop him from picking on Ms. Terrano, and he started a fight as a result. He has no respect for our family—”

Smack!

What was going on? Even the Royle family, who had assets worth hundreds of billions, are being so polite toward him?

Looks like we should butter this guy up and get on his good side!

Leonardo abruptly cut her off with a slap, not holding back in the slightest.

Of course, he understood well that if he didn't act decisively, Sabrina's life could be in danger.

Finnegan believed that Leonardo wouldn't dare to play both sides, so he took Lindsey's hand and started to leave. “You guys carry on having fun, Casper. I'll be taking my leave now.”

Once everyone had dispersed, Leonardo had beaten Sabrina's face until it was all swollen up.

She cried out in pain, “Leo, you heartless b*stard! I raised you by my side since you were little! I was like a mother to you! It's one thing for you not to help me, but now you're hitting me!”

“You would have died if I hadn't done so. Because... even Mr. Calandrino didn't dare to provoke him!”

Upon hearing this, Sabrina instantly fell silent.

She didn't know who Finnegan was, but if even Tyrone didn't dare to provoke him, then he was definitely someone she couldn't afford to offend.

Leonardo sighed, “So, the fact that you're still alive is a miracle in itself. You'd better stay on your knees.”

At this point, Sabrina stopped crying and no longer had any objections. Instead, she became more anxious and asked, “Did he really let me go?”

Leonardo furrowed his brow, somewhat uncertain about this situation.

But to soothe Sabrina, he didn't say much. “It's all right now, I'll have four of my men stay here with you tonight.”

On the other side, Christopher got into the car and roared in grief and anger, “Dad, what's wrong with you? Who exactly is that guy?”

“Do you know how Vilmar died?” Beckett asked with a somber expression.

“Wasn't he killed in public for forcing Ariendel?”

Beckett knew it was time to tell his son some truths to prevent him from acting foolishly when he encountered Finnegan again. “That's just what appears on the surface. In reality, Vilmar and Matthias were sabotaged, leading to their mental instability, and that's why they were killed! And that person was Finnegan, someone who even made your uncle swallow the bitterness of losing his son.”

Christopher was taken aback, “Dad, you're not joking, are you? How come I haven't heard about this?”

Patting his son's shoulder, Beckett sternly warned, “I'm not joking with you. The reason you don't know is because your uncle thought it was unnecessary to bring it up. It's to avoid the risk of people laughing at the Royle family for lacking courage. So, if you encounter Finnegan in the future, keep your distance.”

“I understand!”
