Finnegan had arrived at Dragon Bay No. 2 Villa and met Lindsey in the back garden.
Observing her, who had noticeably withered in the few days since he last saw her, Finnegan let out a quiet sigh and walked over to sit across from her.
However, it seemed as if Lindsey didn't want to see him. She turned her head to look into the distance.
“Ms. Lindsey, are you feeling better now?”
Lindsey bit her lip tightly, offering no response.
At a glance, it was clear she was still upset. Finnegan said, “I understand you're upset. After all, he was your brother. But if your brother had killed me, would that have been justified?”
Lindsey turned around. “I never thought about that.”
Seeing her finally speak, Finnegan asked, “So, what have you been thinking about these past few days?”
“I... I don't know!”
Lindsey lowered her head, her eyes welling up with tears once again.
She was in great agony and confusion, feeling as if she had no future.
Finnegan said, “Your brother was an assassin, and not just any assassin, but one with international renown. So even if I didn't kill him, he would have met his end sooner or later. And you, you might have been the next victim! That's because if an assassin has revealed his identity, neither the organization he belonged to nor the families of those he killed will let him live. Do you really think people like Leonardo would spare your brother and you?”
Lindsey lifted her tear-filled eyes. “Is he destined to die no matter what?”
“Correct!” The response was harsh, yet Finnegan nodded affirmatively. “He has killed too many innocent people. He must die! However, you must live well and never let anyone know that you are Cameron's sister.”
Lindsey wanted to say something.
Reflecting back, Finnegan had shown her those documents, the records of past missions carried out by Cameron.
She didn't know what else she could say.
With a light sigh, Finnegan placed a file bag in front of her. “You can leave today and go wherever you wish. But I hope you won't hate me. Please don't hate me!”
Otherwise, to prevent Rhiannon from potential harm, no matter how difficult it was for him, he would kill Lindsey.
It had nothing to do with being ruthless or cold-hearted.
He simply valued his own family more.
Lindsey asked in agony, “What is this, then?”
Glancing at the file bag, Finnegan turned around and said, “Before your brother was cremated, Doom Star found a bank card on him. It contains the earnings from his missions over the years, totaling thirteen billion. But considering your nature, you probably wouldn't want to use money stained with other people's blood. You might even donate it all away the next moment. So, I happened to have a piece of property that no one was managing. You can take it and decide what to do with it!”
Casting a final glance at Lindsey, Finnegan walked away without hesitation.
That was all he could do.
Upon reaching the front, it seemed as though Mandy was specifically waiting for him. “Is everything arranged? Is it worth it?” she asked.
She knew that the assets Finnegan had given to Lindsey were substantial.
Even many people who struggled for ten generations might not necessarily have been able to possess it.
Finnegan walked straight past her, remarking, “I don't need you to question my actions. Moreover, that sum of assets is dispensable for me. Giving it to her in exchange for my peace of mind is more than enough!”
“But aren't you afraid that she might use this wealth to hire someone to kill you?”
Upon hearing that, Finnegan paused for a moment before continuing to walk forward. “If she truly does that, it would only mean that I've misjudged her. By then, I will personally behead her!”
Mandy's delicate body shivered, a faint chill settling in her heart.
She knew that Finnegan was not joking. One day, if Lindsey truly seeks revenge, he will undoubtedly strike with a single, lethal blow.
Finnegan walked over and sat down without any hesitation. “Ms. Sable, no matter what, I am now a major shareholder of Regi Group, essentially half-owner of your Sable family's business. Even if you didn't offer me your seat, couldn't you at least have greeted me?”
Pausing, he stared at her with an icy gaze. “Or perhaps the lesson I gave you last time wasn't enough?”
Winona's delicate body shivered, recalling the last time she was reprimanded by Finnegan.
In the end, all she could do was grit her teeth and bow her head. “Hi, Mr. Larkin!”
Finnegan said coldly, “One must learn to accept reality and adjust their attitude accordingly. Go on, pour me a cup of coffee!”
Suddenly, Winona lifted her head. Is he really asking me to make him a cup of coffee? I'm the chairman!
Seeing Finnegan's unquestionable gaze, Winona had no choice but to suppress her frustration and turn to make coffee.
Only then did Finnegan shake off his annoyance at the call incident. “What on earth does this bitter woman want me to do?”
Upon hearing Finnegan brazenly label her as a bitter woman in front of everyone, Winona was so infuriated that she bit her lip until it bled, her mood becoming even more agitated.
Shaun chuckled. “There are just three things we'd like to discuss with you. One aspect is that our four companies have separately acquired the shares of Winfrey and his associates. Do you think we need to hold a press conference to announce this? It would be beneficial to Regi Group. Secondly, there were no issues with the testing of Regenerating Ointment, and the Medical Products Administration has also approved it. We would like to hear your thoughts on pricing and distribution! Thirdly, the four of us believe Regi Group should branch out from the medical sector and diversify its development. Coincidentally, the Chomsky family's Tristan Group has already completed liquidation and entered the auction process. Should we consider participating?”
Finnegan cast a glance at Winona, who was in the process of brewing coffee.
A playful smirk crossed his lips when he said, “Since the four of you have invested, naturally, you can't keep it hidden. Why not hold a press conference to announce it? Along the way, you can promote the miraculous effects of Regenerating Ointment. It wouldn't hurt to boost the somewhat low spirits within Regi Group. As for the pricing and distributing issues of Regenerating Ointment, why don't you first tell me your thoughts? I must admit that I don't quite understand these matters!”
Hearing that, Shaun and the others all turned to look at Winona.
They were once pleasure-seeking heirs and heiresses. In that regard, Winona understood those matters better than they did themselves.
However, Winona feigned ignorance and continued to brew coffee.
Finnegan's gaze grew increasingly playful. “Winona, do you still need me to invite you?”
