The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 424

Watching Finnegan, who was attacking Tatiana like a madman without even a hint of defense, Alisha was filled with complex emotions. “What's the matter with Finnegan?”

Seeing the scene before her, she was reminded of when Finnegan confronted Golden Hades.

Finnegan seemed to be in that state at that moment, adopting a completely reckless fighting style.

Theoden exclaimed in reverence, “That's because he's Dr. Larkin!”

Faced with Finnegan's reckless fighting style, Tatiana felt somewhat stifled momentarily. She had no choice but to parry Finnegan's attacks and retreat quickly. Her face was grim when she questioned, “Little Monster, who exactly is your master?”

Having been in the fighting scene for so many years, she had never felt so stifled before.

Surprisingly, she was being suppressed and beaten by Finnegan, whose realm was inferior to her own.

With a cold laugh, Finnegan said, “I'll send you to the netherworld, and you can ask Hades!”

He charged forward once again, long sword in hand.

Tatiana cursed under her breath and could only continue to maintain a defensive stance.

Because she was an assassin, what she excelled at was assassination.

However, facing Finnegan directly in such a reckless manner made it difficult for her to fight back.

If she were to come out on top, it would still be a pyrrhic victory.

However, Finnegan didn't care how aggrieved Tatiana felt at the moment. He brandished his long sword and struck out wildly, one blow after another, as if he were chopping vegetables, completely devoid of any discernible pattern.

Unbeknownst to him, he had already exchanged hundreds of blows with Tatiana.

Although Tatiana was a Terra Realm Grandmaster of Absolute Rank, at her core, she was a woman. She was over a hundred years old, and her true expertise lay in assassination.

Gradually, she began to feel somewhat weak.

A slight shiver involuntarily ran through her heart.

She realized she would be in trouble if things continued that way because her stamina would be severely depleted by Finnegan.

With a sudden determination, Tatiana abruptly changed her defensive stance. Swinging her Winterthorn, she exclaimed, “You forced me into this!”

Spencer reminisced about the scene from thirty years ago and urgently cried out, “Dr. Larkin, quickly dodge! She's about to use her signature sword technique, Winter Rain!”

Finnegan, however, had no intention of backing down. “I don't care!”

Tatiana swung her long sword, and in a mere second, she had executed dozens of sword techniques. Visible streaks of cold light, akin to lines of rain, burst forth, heading straight for Finnegan.

Faced with this powerful strike, Finnegan gritted his teeth. “Break!”

Clang!

A sound of metal shattering echoed through the air as Winter Rain shattered Finnegan's long sword. He was flung backward, landing heavily on the ground, his body adorned with dozens of sword wounds. In an instant, he was transformed into a bloodied figure.

Alisha exclaimed anxiously, “Finnegan!”

“Don't come over!”

With a roar of fury, Finnegan tossed aside the hilt he held and pushed himself up.

The expression on his face remained wild. “It's fine. She's no better than me, anyway.”

What? Upon hearing that, Alisha and the others turned their gaze toward Tatiana.

Upon examination, it was discovered that shards from a long sword had pierced Tatiana's abdomen, left shoulder, and front body in three places. Her night clothes were soaked through with fresh blood.

A twitch played at the corner of Spencer's mouth. “Risking life for life!”

Tatiana's face contorted, her expression fierce. “I'm going to kill you!”

She was humiliated by the fact that he had resorted to a life-risking fighting style to injure her.

Finnegan laughed heartily. “Well then, come on!”

Swinging her long sword, Tatiana once again faced off against Finnegan.

This time, Finnegan found himself without a weapon. The situation had turned in favor of Tatiana, forcing him into a constant state of retreat and evasion.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Theoden and the others all widened their eyes. What's going on?

It was clear that Tatiana had the upper hand, so how did the situation reverse so suddenly? Spencer, however, was taken aback as he rubbed his eyes. “What's going on?”

However, at that moment, Finnegan certainly wouldn't offer them any explanation. Instead, he went after Tatiana like a shadow.

As Tatiana crashed onto the ground, she leaped high into the air, her right leg sweeping out horizontally.

With her teeth clenched tightly, Tatiana spat out, “Despicable!”

The long sword was swung.

Buzz!

Finnegan's foot swept across the long sword, causing a resonating hum. The vibration was so intense that it tore through Tatiana's grip, causing her to unconsciously release the sword she was holding.

The murderous intent in his eyes surged dramatically as Finnegan delivered a powerful punch from above.

Left with no choice, Tatiana had to abandon her attempt to retrieve her sword, instead opting to protect herself with both hands held in front of her.

With a muffled thud, Finnegan took advantage of the situation and retreated a few steps. Tatiana was half-kneeling on the ground, leaving a trail as she slid.

Finnegan spat out a mouthful of blood and said, “It seems this is all you've got!”

Tatiana, supporting herself, managed to stand up. Her face was already contorted as she asked, “When did you poison me?”

She hadn't intended to halt abruptly moments earlier. It was her body that had suddenly gone numb, leaving her unable to control her limbs.

Next, she felt her strength rapidly draining away.

In just a brief moment, less than fifty percent of her peak strength remained.

Finnegan chuckled. “Last night, I sensed a hidden threat. That must have been you, right? So, in the middle of the night, I quietly made a trip, sprinkling some special items among all the flowers, plants, and trees, even in the artificial hills and ponds of Dragon Bay. Once infected, one would gradually lose their strength within six hours. However, if the blood flow increased, all strength could be lost in just a few minutes. However, you did well by enduring for such a long time. Otherwise, I would have messed up again.”

Upon hearing that, Tatiana uttered harshly, “You're a despicable man! How could the others be unharmed, then? Didn't you do that last night?”

Finnegan chuckled as he approached her. “I've already secretly administered the antidote to Vixen and the others. I was just waiting for you!”

As his words fell, Finnegan, like a tiger springing from its cage, launched his attack once more.
