The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 425

Finnegan's attacks remained fierce and domineering.

However, Tatiana was a Terra Realm Grandmaster.

Even if she got injured, she was still a Grandmaster.

Finnegan was unable to defeat her, and his injuries had somewhat worsened.

Thud!

With a muffled thud, Finnegan was struck in the chest by a palm strike from Tatiana. Unable to withstand it, he was sent flying backward and crashed onto the ground. Finnegan spat out a mouthful of fresh blood as he looked up to the sky.

Tatiana wanted to seize the opportunity to press on the attack, but no sooner had she taken a step forward than she coughed up a mouthful of blood as well.

Sensing something was amiss, she quickly glanced at the wound on her shoulder, only to find out that it had turned a ghastly shade of blue-black, and the blood that was seeping out had already darkened.

The look on her face changed drastically in an instant. “You shameless brat!”

I can't believe he poisoned me again!

Finnegan chuckled as he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and propped himself up slightly. “I had no choice. I'm not strong enough to beat you in a fair fight, so I had to resort to underhanded tactics. Besides, you're an assassin. Our methods are pretty much the same, so don't act so high and mighty.”

Upon hearing Finnegan's words, Theoden and the others wore complex expressions on their faces.

How did such a despicable and cunning person become an extraordinary medical practitioner?

Tatiana tore off a piece of cloth and quickly tied it tightly around her shoulder. “It's no wonder Cameron failed and died at your hands. I got careless!”

Finnegan nodded. “You did indeed let your guard down. You shouldn't have scouted the place last night, otherwise I wouldn't have made arrangements in advance. If there is a next life, remember not to be an assassin again. If you still choose to be one, do be more careful.”

Tatiana, who was feeling confident that no one could hold her back even if she were to leave now, went wide-eyed when she heard that.

“What did you say?”

Struggling, Finnegan managed to stand up, coughing a few times before he replied, “You have at most three days left to live. I'm the only one who possesses the antidote.”

While one could argue that Finnegan was bluffing, after considering Finnegan's scheme that night, Tatiana felt a bit anxious and halted her thoughts of retreating.

“It seems I have no choice but to settle this tonight,” she said.

Finnegan sneered. “Don't you dare move. If you do, the poisoned blood will attack your heart, causing you to die even faster, and your strength will dissipate more rapidly. Moreover, with so many people on my side, what could you possibly do to me?”

The elites of the Wahlstrom family swiftly closed in, completely encircling Tatiana.

Spencer also stepped forward, his gaze fixed intently on Tatiana.

The latter's heart sank as she realized she had truly been careless that night.

“Let's make a deal!” Finnegan said with a nod.

Killing Tatiana was as simple as giving the order, and she would still die even if she wasn't killed.

However, the issue of the Blood Moon had to be resolved.

Otherwise, killing Tatiana would have been of no use.

That was why Finnegan did not follow up with another attack. Instead, he administered a lethal poison to her so he could obtain the address of the Blood Moon headquarters.

“There's no way we could ever make a deal!”

But in a fit of rage, Tatiana roared and brandished Winterthorn, charging directly at him. The vibration from her sword alone sent three of the Wahlstrom family's elites flying.

Finnegan wanted to obtain the address of the Blood Moon headquarters from her, while she was intent on capturing Finnegan to coerce him into surrendering the antidote.

“Mr. Klausen, you can make your move now.”

Seeing as Tatiana stubbornly insisted on fighting him, Finnegan decided not to hold back either.

Spencer launched an attack on Tatiana from the side.

He was no match for Tatiana earlier, but he gradually gained the upper hand with the assistance of the Wahlstrom family's elites after Tatiana had fallen into Finnegan's trap.

“Years ago, you severely injured my master. Now, it's the perfect time for me to avenge him. Prepare to meet your end!” he shouted excitedly.

Three minutes later, Tatiana felt her physical condition deteriorating rapidly and realized she could no longer bear it.

Swiftly, she turned around, no longer trying to fight.

I'm a Terra Realm Grandmaster! I never thought I'd someday end up in such a state...

“Are you going to spill the beans or not?”

“I won't tell you, not even if it kills me!”

“Then you can continue to suffer,” Finnegan said.

Moments later, however, tears streamed down Tatiana's face. It wasn't the pain that made her cry, though. It seemed more like anxiety instead. “I won't tell you anything! Please stop! Let me go! Let me go!” she pleaded.

Finnegan said coldly, “I'm sorry, but you're going to die tonight whether you speak or not. You see...”

Halfway through his speech, Finnegan fell silent.

Theoden and the others went wide-eyed as they waited for him to continue.

Despite her pain, Tatiana had actually knelt before Finnegan, pleading, “I beg you... Let me go... Please let me go...”

The sight of someone begging for mercy inexplicably made Finnegan's heart tremble.

Alisha's eyes welled up with tears before she even realized it. “Since she won't survive anyway, can we let her go, Finnegan?”

Even Spencer, who originally harbored resentment towards Tatiana, was moved by her pleas. “Dr. Larkin, perhaps we should let her go. She must have some unfinished business to attend to.”

Otherwise, why would a renowned Grandmaster, who had been famous for many years, and whose Winterthorn had made countless people tremble in fear, be content to kneel on the ground? After all, a person like her does not fear death. She clearly values her dignity above all else!

Finnegan looked deeply into Tatiana's eyes, “Are you sure you won't tell me where the Blood Moon headquarters is?”

Unable to bear the pain, yet persisting on her knees, Tatiana resolutely bowed her head and pleaded, “Please, let me go!”

Clearly, she wanted to stay alive, but she couldn't reveal to Finnegan where the Blood Moon headquarters was located.

Finnegan gazed deeply into her eyes as he reached into his robe and produced a pill. “This is a Dissipation Pill. Once consumed, it will cause you to lose all your cultivation, but it will also slow down the progression of your injuries. You can leave now!”

Without a second thought, Tatiana swiftly grabbed and swallowed the pill that would dissipate her powers. As the pain subsided, she quickly rose to her feet, “Blood Moon has an Ether Realm Grandmaster. You'd better watch out.”

Watching her leave, Finnegan dialed a number and said, “Keep an eye on her. I want to use her as bait!”

After hanging up the phone, he turned around and said, “Old Mr. Wahlstrom, let's continue with our plan!”
