The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 426

The night grew deeper.

A gentle drizzle came with the wind.

Meanwhile, Tyrone was seated in the grand hall of Tyrone Mansion with a charcoal grill burning before him.

Atop the grill, a pot simmered, filled with a seafood stew.

On the low table beside them, there were various side dishes, along with a small bottle filled with wine.

On the left, a radio sat atop a crimson cabinet, broadcasting the nightly news.

“The seventeenth typhoon of the year, Titan, was only eighty nautical miles away from our harbor. By seven in the morning, the wind strength in our harbor had reached level five. By around four in the afternoon the next day, the wind strength will have escalated to level seven. Everyone, please take necessary precautions. All fishing boats are to return to the harbor, and all outdoor work are to be temporarily suspended!”

Listening to the typhoon warning broadcast, Tyrone picked up his wine glass and took a light sip.

He carefully picked up an abalone and placed it in his mouth, slowly chewing and swallowing it.

It was evident that Tyrone was a person who took his food very seriously.

“Mr. Calandrino!”

A moment later, Leonardo walked in with his hair slightly damp.

Tyrone lifted his gaze slightly and said, “Sit down and join me for a drink.”

As he spoke, he poured Leonardo a cup of wine.

After a moment of hesitation, Leonardo sat down and asked, “Mr. Calandrino, are you having regrets?”

Raising his wine glass to clink with Leonardo's, Tyrone took a sip. He then patted his right leg, which had been disabled since his youth, and asked, “Do you know how I ended up with this leg?”

Leonardo replied, “You mentioned it was caused by an arrow wound during a skirmish in your youth.”

“That's correct.” Tyrone nodded as he continued, “Do you know how I managed to survive back then when there was no one by my side?”

Upon hearing this, Leonardo thought of something, “Could it be that...”

Upon realizing that Leonardo had understood, Tyrone gave a slight nod and said, “That's right. It was that woman who saved me. I owe her a huge one.” He paused, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes as he added, “Moreover, she bore me a son, my only son!”

At this point, his face contorted with rage, “So, why should I regret? I actually had a son, and now this son is dead!”

Clearly, Sapphire had been financially supported by Tyrone when she was young.

Tonight, the hundred men that Sapphire led to ambush Finnegan were elite forces secretly nurtured by Tyrone.

Leonardo opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but held himself back when he saw the fierce expression on Tyrone's face.

Not only did Tyrone lose a leg in his youth, but he also lost his ability to have kids.

Hence, over the years, Tyrone had been seeking medical help everywhere, hoping to have a child.

Upon learning from Sapphire that Timothy was his child, Tyrone didn't even have time to rejoice before he was informed of Timothy's death.

One could only imagine what that feeling was like.

Tyrone took a hearty swig of his drink and asked, “Any news yet?”

Leonardo replied, “To prevent Ms. Wahlstrom from seeking your assistance, they blocked all signals around Dragon Bay No. 1 Villa before launching their attack. We haven't received any news yet.”

Furrowing his brow, Tyrone glanced sideways at the clock on the wall.

It was already three in the morning.

His brow furrowed even deeper, “Old Mr. Wahlstrom has already returned to Bellridge. With only about a hundred people in Dragon Bay No. 1 Villa, how could there still be no news? Go, have the people nearby—”

As they were speaking, a team leader rushed in and shouted frantically, “Mr. Calandrino, we have a problem! Thousands of people have suddenly appeared outside Tyrone Mansion! They have now completely surrounded the mansion!”

As Tyrone's eyes narrowed, the leader continued, “We tried to make a call for reinforcements, only to find out that all signals in Tyrone Mansion had been blocked!”

Upon hearing this, Tyrone picked up the cellphone on the table and glanced at it. Indeed, there was no signal whatsoever.

Theoden's expression grew cold. “You—”

However, Finnegan stopped Theoden, “Mr. Calandrino, it's not a big deal. It's just that someone attacked Dragon Bay tonight, and I just wanted you to identify someone!”

With a swift gesture, the masked leader was dragged forward and pushed to the ground.

Tyrone, however, remained unfazed, his smile unchanged as he said, “Is this the person you mentioned? I don't know this person!”

Finnegan's smile took on a teasing edge, “He knows you, though. He even mentioned that you have secretly raised and trained three hundred orphans seventeen years ago, even going as far as tossing them into foreign battlefields as part of their training. The goal was to have a bargaining chip against the Wahlstrom family when you achieved independence!”

Even so, Tyrone maintained his smile and asked, “Such absurdity! Do you believe that, Mr. Larkin? And you, Old Mr. Wahlstrom. Do you believe that as well?”

Theoden's expression grew even colder.

He had already learned the entire story from Finnegan, and yet, Tyrone was still stubbornly denying it.

With a faint smile, Finnegan asked, “Do you know this woman, then?”

Sapphire's lifeless body was then hoisted and tossed onto the ground.

“It was said that she had been under your patronage, Mr. Calandrino, since she was fifteen, until she was eighteen and married into the Zimmerman family, heavily pregnant. Oh, right, I also heard that she even saved your life when you were faced with a life-or-death crisis back then!”

Tyrone squinted his eyes, his smile now somewhat forced as he replied, “I do recognize her. It's true that I supported her financially for a few years when she was younger, and she even saved my life once. But what does that prove?”

Chuckling lightly, Finnegan pulled out his phone and played a recording, “It seems you won't admit it until it's too late, Mr. Calandrino!”

A recording began to play. It was the conversation that Tyrone and Leonardo had just had.

Toward the end, it was a recording of Sapphire finding Tyrone.

Tyrone's smile froze, he abruptly turned to look at Leonardo.

He then let out a long sigh, “Why? I've treated you well, haven't I? I even considered giving everything to you once I completely left the Wahlstrom family!”
