The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 431

The elderly man in the grey shirt wore a helpless look. “I never thought I would come to find you, let alone Tatiana would fail to kill you!”

Listening to the conversation between the two, Alisha noticed something important.

“You know him?”

Finnegan gave a nod and said, “I met him a couple of days ago. He is Wrosal Lambert, also known as Bloodweep!”

He paused, then chuckled, “He probably goes by the name of Sunny now.”

The elderly man in the grey shirt was indeed Sunny Lambert, whom he had briefly encountered at Derport Church.

Back then, Finnegan could tell that Sunny was a Preliminary Rank Ether Realm cultivator and had also sensed a murderous aura emanating from him.

Unexpectedly, he turned out to be a member of Bloody Winter, Wrosal the Bloodweep.

He had once crossed swords with the Five Unparalleled and was once hailed as the foremost assassin of Loang.

“Young man, it sounds like you were expecting me, weren't you?” Sunny asked with great interest.

Nodding, Finnegan replied candidly, “Last night, after I let Ms. Howell go, I had someone secretly follow her. In the end, she was found to have went up the mountain from the path behind Derport Church. Considering that her partner was Wrosal and you, a Preliminary Rank Ether Realm cultivator, were waiting for someone at Derport Church, it wasn't hard to guess!”

Upon hearing this, Sunny gave a slight nod, a hint of admiration showing on his face. “You truly are an observant kid. Given Tatiana's serious injury, coupled with the sudden typhoon, it wasn't difficult to keep an eye on her. So... you had set up a trap, haven't you?”

Finnegan sighed. “Indeed, I did, but I never expected to catch a big fish like you, sir!”

Speaking of this, Finnegan felt a faint sense of helplessness wash over.

Had he known earlier that Sunny was indeed Wrosal, he certainly would not have let Tatiana leave the night before. He would have kept her within his grasp to manipulate Sunny.

After all, Bloody Winter was made up of a pair of childhood sweethearts who grew up together as martial arts disciples.

Though they ultimately did not become husband and wife, their feelings for each other were no different from those of a married couple.

Sunny smiled gently. “It's quite a coincidence that today is the day I promised to meet Tatiana, otherwise I wouldn't have come so quickly.”

“So, Ms. Howell, who hasn't come out of seclusion for decades, wasn't primarily here to kill me?”

Sunny nodded. “Indeed, her main purpose was to see me. Killing you was just incidental, but who would have thought?”

Before she could succeed, she was poisoned by Finnegan, which completely ruined her cultivation.

Finnegan asked, “Are you planning to kill me in her stead now?”

After a moment of contemplation, Sunny replied, “From the day I changed my name and retreated into seclusion, I have already given up killing. I no longer wish to create further carnage. I only hope to see Tatiana once a year until the day I die, so give me the antidote. I don't want to fight you, and you can't stop me!”

Regarding that, Finnegan had no doubts whatsoever.

Everyone beneath a Senior Grandmaster of Ether Realm was nothing but insects.

The methods that worked against Tatiana and Golden Hades were ineffective against a Senior Grandmaster of Ether Realm.

Even the slightest anomaly would be keenly noticed by them.

However, Finnegan responded to Sunny's request with an unequivocal shake of his head, refusing without hesitation. “If you want the antidote, that's fine, but only if you exchange it for the location of the Blood Moon headquarters. Otherwise... you'll never have it!”

Sunny narrowed his eyes, a dangerous swelling all around him.

“Are you sure?”

“I am!”

As his words fell, Sunny made his move.

His figure swept past like an afterimage, arriving directly in front of Alisha. In one swift motion, he reached out and seized her throat.

He quickly returned to his original position in a flash. “What if I do this?”

Everything happened in the blink of an eye.

Upon regaining her senses, Alisha was filled with shock. “Finnegan?”

Finnegan remained calm. “You can kill her. I don't care. All I want is the location of the Blood Moon headquarters.”

Unexpectedly, Finnegan remained indifferent.

Alisha gritted her teeth as she felt a deep sense of frustration.

Bang!

Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Finnegan endured the pain as he spoke. “Only if you give me the location of the Blood Moon headquarters.”

“How stubborn of you!”

With a gentle sigh, Sunny raised his hand and brought it down swiftly.

In the blink of an eye, the air was filled with blade energy. Dozens of invisible blades slashed directly toward Finnegan.

Finnegan's face drastically changed, swiftly altering his moves to dodge.

Even so, three wounds, deep enough to see the bone, were left on his body. Fresh blood seeped out, staining his clothes red.

Alisha anxiously asked, “Finnegan?”

Summoning his strength, Finnegan managed to rise once again.

Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he fixed his gaze on Sunny. “Let's go again!”

Finnegan charged out once again.

With no other choice, Sunny stepped forward, effortlessly neutralizing Finnegan's attacks with a mere wave of his hand.

Following this, he sent Finnegan flying with a swift backhand, who then harshly crashed onto the ground.

Alisha anxiously stepped forward “Finnegan!”

However, Sunny had already approached, gently waving his hand to push Alisha away with an invisible force.

Standing before Finnegan, his gaze was calm yet shimmered with murderous intent. “If you don't hand over the antidote, I will really kill you.”

Finnegan felt as if his bones were falling apart, yet he refused to back down. “I don't want to die. No one can kill me either!” he declared.

His right hand was already clenched tightly. If Sunny truly intended to kill him, he was ready to fight back without hesitation, even if it meant he would need to recover for a few months afterward.

Sunny raised his right hand, mimicking the shape of a knife. “In that case, I have no choice but to sever your right hand first.”

“Wrosal, if you dare harm him again, I will annihilate all the Lamberts.”
