Halsey couldn’t believe Shaun wanted her to call him “honey” again.

He already messed with her once back in the pharmacy-why was he still trying to tease her?

Halsey refused. “I’m not calling you that!”

Shaun didn’t push. He just looked at her and said calmly, “Then take the pill.”

“I’m not taking it! You can give up on that!” Halsey snapped.

Shaun didn’t argue. He simply sat back in his seat and started driving.

It wasn’t long before Halsey noticed something was off. This wasn’t the way back to her house. Where was he taking her?

“Where are we going?”

Shaun kept his eyes on the road. “Since you won’t take the pill, there’s a chance you might be pregnant. That means I have to keep you close. I’ve got a meeting soon, so I’m taking you to my company.”

She needed to know how he really felt about the idea of a child.

Shaun raised an eyebrow and didn’t answer her directly. Instead, he asked, “What do you think I’d do?”

“I-I don’t know,” she muttered.

That was the problem-she had no idea. If she did, she wouldn’t be this anxious.

“Please just tell me. If I really am pregnant, what would you do?” Halsey said seriously.

Shaun curved his lips into a faint smile. “You really want to know?”

Halsey nodded. “I do.”

“I would…” Shaun drawled, dragging out the moment.

Halsey leaned in a little, hanging on his words.

Shaun smirked. “Get pregnant first, and you’ll find out.”

“What?” Halsey stared at him, dumbfounded.

He grinned like a devil. “Once you’re pregnant, you’ll know exactly what I’ll do.”

She was furious. Without thinking, she reached out and gave his arm a hard pinch.

Shaun chuckled, clearly amused. “Didn’t even hurt,“
