The Heartbreak Prescription novel Chapter 925

Chapter 925

Chelsea and Warren were completely stunned.

They had already guessed that Halsey might be in Shaun’s office. After all, she was likely the only person Shaun would refuse to see them for.

What they didn’t expect was to find her asleep. And not just anywhere-she was curled up in Shaun’s arms, sleeping like she belonged there.

Chelsea froze, her face going pale with disbelief. “How could you…”

Warren stared at Halsey, still sleeping peacefully like a baby in Shaun’s embrace. “How can you be with her again? Did you forget what happened with Geneva? She pushed you toward another woman. She played you!”

Chelsea’s voice was sharp. “We thought you went to confront her, not…end up back with her.”

Geneva’s situation had set Shaun off like never before. Chelsea and Warren had assumed it would be the end of the road for

those two. After all, no man could tolerate something like that.

And yet, here they were.

Shaun looked up at them calmly. “I’ve already dealt with her about Geneva.”

He had indeed dealt with Halsey harshly-but all of it happened in bed. Chelsea and Warren had no idea about that part.

Warren couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Seriously? You think just punishing her a little is enough to move past all that?”

Chelsea narrowed her eyes. “Are you thinking of getting back with her right after punishing her?”

Shaun looked between the two. “Why can’t I get back with her?”

Chelsea opened her mouth, but didn’t respond.

Warren was just as speechless.

At that moment, Halsey stirred in Shaun’s arms. Her flushed cheeks pressed even deeper into his chest as she nestled closer, still sound asleep.

“Keep it down,” Shaun said, his voice low. “You’ll wake her.”

Warren threw his hands in the air. “She’s got you wrapped around her finger!”

Shaun didn’t react to the jab. “Is there anything else? If not, you can go.”

That was it-he was asking them to leave.

Chelsea clearly still had more to say, but Warren tugged on her arm. “Let’s just go.”

She hesitated, then finally followed Warren toward the door. At the last second, she looked back.

Shaun sat on the couch, eyes lowered, his handsome face soft with quiet tenderness as he gazed at the woman in his arms. Gently, he pulled the blanket up a little higher to keep her warm.

Chelsea’s hand clenched into a tight fist. Her nails dug so hard into her palm that she didn’t even feel the sting.

She was furious.

She thought the whole Snowpeak Bloom situation would finally drive them apart. Instead, Shaun had fallen even deeper for Halsey. There was no prying him away now.

Outside the office, Warren let out a long sigh. “Chelsea, Shaun’s gone. Nothing’s gonna change his mind now. That guy’s completely hooked.”

Who would’ve guessed that cold, sharp Shaun would turn into a total lovesick fool?
