Rowan leaned back against the plush velvet sofa, looking every bit the polished heir in a wine–red suit that cost more than most people made in a year. A Patek Philippe gleamed on his wrist. It was subtle, yet screaming of wealth.

A woman in a sleek dress knelt by the low table, her movements fluid as she poured a measure of red wine. When the glass was exactly one–third full, she offered it with a soft murmur. “Please, enjoy.”

Rowan took a sip, his brow furrowing slightly. “The vintage is decent, but I prefer my reds at exactly 18°C.”

The woman didn’t miss a beat, her smile remaining perfectly professional. “Of course. I’ll adjust the temperature for you immediately.” She placed the bottle into the thermal regulator nearby.

The door clicked open, and a waiter bowed. “Your guest has arrived, sir.”

Lilian stepped into the room, her presence immediately cutting through the stifling luxury of the suite.

What she didn’t realize was that across the hall, near the landing of the grand staircase, her every move was being tracked by a group of familiar faces.

“That was Lilian, right?” Cameron asked, his eyes wide with surprise.

Fawks looked equally confused. “Yeah, that was her. What’s she doing here? Is Sebastian with her?”

Cameron rolled his eyes. “If Sebastian were here, he wouldn’t be in that suite. The man has his own private wing, for God’s sake.”

Manny watched the door swing shut. “Maybe she’s just meeting friends. You guys are overthinking this.”

“Are you an idiot?” Cameron snapped, turning on Manny. “This is the Imperial Club. None of Lilian’s friends would hang out here. I won’t even let Elsie come here alone, let alone Lilian. If Sebastian isn’t personally escorting her, she has no business being in this

place.”

Fawks‘ expression turned grim. “Then who’s in that room? She didn’t come here to sit by herself.”

A predatory glint flashed in Cameron’s eyes as he pulled out his phone and started dialing. “Find out who’s in Suite 330. Now.”

He listened for a moment before grinning into the receiver. “You’d better give me a name. Your boss is the one asking, and if you value your job, you won’t keep me waiting… That’s more like it. Talk later.”

The other two crowded around him. “Well? Who is it?”

Cameron’s smile was triumphant. “It’s Rowan, the Soren family’s golden boy.”

Fawks and Manny traded a look of pure shock “Since when does Lilian have anything to do with Rowan? They’ve met exactly

once.”

“Whatever the reason,” Cameron said, his thumb already hovering over a new contact, “Sebastian needs to know. Someone is trying to move in on his territory. Let’s see how he handles it.” He hit the call button.
