Chapter 254 A Broke Loser
:
“Stella, if you’re scared, just admit it–no need to be sarcastic,” Rhett sneered.
“Why should I waste time racing you in your best sport?” Stella shot back.
“Because I’m a Corbin!”
“You’re out of your mind.”
Stella turned to leave.

Rhett chased after her. “You’re pretty cocky. Do you know how dangerous it is to be so rude?”
“I don’t even care about Sean–who do you think you are?”
Rhett froze for a second. “Cross me, and you’re dead.”
“Who started this anyway? I haven’t even gotten back at you for what you did at the Vosshire auction.”
Tess stepped forward, blocking his path with a cold stare. “Get lost.”
Rhett swung at her without warning.
Stella frowned. “Stop. I’ll race you.”
He wants to be humiliated? Fine.
These maniacs have nothing better to do than pick fights. If I don’t make him regret ever challenging me, I’m not Stella.
By then, other students had gathered around, looking concerned. Stella was their national treasure–level teacher–and their idol.
“Ms. Shaw, are you okay?” one asked.
“Ms. Shaw, should we call the police?”
“Ms. Shaw, we already got security!”
Stella felt warm seeing the students stand up for her fearlessly. “I’m fine, it’s just a misunderstanding. Go back to class, everyone.”
She calmed the crowd, then followed Rhett to Azure Peak Race Track.

“We should race in Vosshire,” Rhett insisted. Hereis Jasper’s territory, after all.
“Scared you’ll lose?” Stella taunted.
“I-”

“You just want to cut the brake lines, right? You’re so bad you have to cheat against a girl?”
Rhett’s face paled, then he laughed angrily. She’s just a helpless woman, anyway.
I’ll win even without tricks.
“Fine, we’ll race here. If you lose, drop out of the Corbin heir assessment,” he said.
Stella rolled her eyes. “Deal.”
“Let’s start.”
“Wait,” Stella said.
“Scared now?” Rhett sneered.
Really? This is who Sean’s grandpa thinksis a contender?

I admit Stella is talented, but she’s still a woman–a sheltered flower. She’ll probably freeze up at the Corbin family’s darkness.
“If you lose, pay this amount,” Stella said, holding up five fingers.
Rhett blinked. “Fifty million dollars?”
“Five billion,” Stella corrected.
“You’re robbing me!”
“I’m risking my life for your little game–don’t you think it’s worth it?”
Rhett couldn’t figure her out.
“If you can’t pay, forget it. Do you really think I’d gamble my life on your whim?” Stella turned to leave. “Let’s go–he’s broke.”
Rhett sputtered, “Stop! You think you can just walk away?”
He lunged at her, but Tess kicked him hard–unexpectedly sending him crashing into the wall, then sliding to the ground.

He stared blankly. “Do you know who I am?”
“A broke loser,” Tess replied.

Rhett’s face turned bright red with anger. Everyone callsme “Mr. Corbin–how dare she call me a loser!
“Fine, I agree,” he gritted out.
Stella stopped and handed him an agreement. He signed it without hesitation.
“Race starts in an hour.”
“Good.”
Watching him leave, Stella smiled.
“Boss, we kinda feel like scammers,” Tess joked.
Stella shrugged. “Not my fault. He’s practically begging to give me money. I had no choice.”
“Don’t worry, Boss. I’ll check the car thoroughly.”
Word spread quickly, and Sean rushed to the race track. “You shouldn’t have agreed. Rhett isn’t great at much, but racing is his specialty.”
