The King Of War Returns (Jaden Rift) novel Chapter 150

The arena was silent.

Not because the match had ended—

But because something far greater had just begun.

The air was thick with disbelief, with the raw scent of blood and sweat hanging in it like fog.

Jaden Rift stood alone at the center of the shattered stage, his shadow stretching long beneath the brutal stadium lights. His knuckles were still stained red. His expression unreadable.

And the audience?

They watched him like he was a walking execution.

A beast.

A devil in human skin.

A giant contestant seated not far from the front row—the rumored brawler from the Fire Jaw clan—was trembling. His face pale, body tense. Then—

“Ugh… no, no…!”

A puddle formed beneath him.

The man had pissed himself.

“T-That guy… He’s not human. He’s a demon. I’m not going up there. I don’t wanna die.”

The panic began to ripple.

Murmurs turned into whispers. Whispers turned into dread.

In all the years of the Bloodborne Trials, never had a man dismantled his opponent with such cruel precision.

---

The announcer’s voice cracked over the intercom, attempting to regain control of the crowd:

“R-Rider of the Ghost Family has been… taken away for emergency medical attention. Due to the withdrawal of Master Reuben, the representative of the Scarface Family, that house will now be disqualified.”

A wave of stunned gasps spread through the audience.

Near the edge of the stadium, tucked behind the curtain of elite guest seats, Fate Scarface sat with her head bowed low.

Ashamed.

Her fists clenched on her lap, white-knuckled. Her chest tightened with guilt.

“I’m sorry, Father…” she whispered, her voice trembling. “This is all my fault… I couldn’t convince Reuben to stay.”

Tears threatened to spill, but she blinked them back. She had to be strong. For her name. For her family.

Then—

A voice cut through the stadium like a sword through silence.

“Wait.”

All heads turned.

Jaden stepped forward, his gaze calm yet commanding.

“It’s true. He owns 85% of the Gravesend Group… Scarface is registered under their corporate tree.”

The silence in the arena shattered like glass.

Gasps. Screams. Disbelief.

“This guy’s a fighter and a corporate overlord?” “What kind of monster is he!?”

On the other side of the stadium, Michael leaned toward his father Lucian, unable to hide his shock.

“Father… are you seeing this?”

Lucian’s lips curled into a cold, cunning smile.

“Let him. If he wants to burn out his strength by fighting two bloodlines’ worth of enemies, why stop him?”

His voice dripped with poison.

“He’ll wear himself out. And when the time’s right… we’ll rip the crown from his corpse.”

---

Back in the arena, the announcer turned to the audience, raising a hand dramatically.

“Well then… who can deny a shareholder the right to fight for his house!?”

The crowd roared, some in outrage, others in awe.

“The Trials… will continue!!”
