The groans of broken men filled the room.
Blood pooled on the cracked tiles, and Cooper’s security team—once cocky, well-dressed enforcers—were now twisted shapes on the floor. Some coughed. One whimpered. None of them could get up.
Drax wiped the back of his hand across his mouth, then spat to the side, disgusted.
“They were weaker than I expected.”
Jaden didn’t even look at the bodies. “It’s the countryside. You expected battlefield standards from local muscle?”
Drax grunted, adjusting his coat.
At the far end of the room, Cooper trembled like a leaf in a thunderstorm. His mouth opened, but nothing came out at first. He stared at his men, bloodied and broken, and finally dropped to his knees with a loud thud.
“Please... I didn’t know. I swear! Spare me!”
He slammed his forehead against the floor, again and again.
“I swear I didn’t know who you were!”
A dark patch spread across the front of his pants. The stench followed quickly.
Drax winced. “That’s just nasty.”
But Jaden kept walking, stepping around the bodies without a second glance. “Let’s go.”
They left without another word.
Cooper didn’t move until the echo of their boots faded. Then he gasped for air, like a man who'd been drowning.
“He scared the hell out of me,” he muttered to no one, wiping tears off his face with trembling hands.

Jaden and Drax walked up to the 79th floor, arriving at Williams Gravesend office. it was locked
They didn’t bother knocking.
With one hard kick, Drax sent the office door crashing open. The wooden frame splintered as it swung wildly inward.
Inside, Williams Gravesend’s office was empty. Expensive. Designed to impress. Floor-to-ceiling windows. Leather seats. A mahogany desk that screamed money.
“Nice place,” Jaden said, walking in like he owned it.
“He should be here any minute,” Williams said, eyes on the road ahead. “I want everything smooth. This man we’re meeting? He's not the kind of guy you cross.”
Anthony nodded, jaw tight.
Then Williams’ phone rang.
He checked the screen.
Cooper.
He answered. “What is it?”
On the other end, Cooper’s voice was trembling.
“Master... something happened. It’s... it’s complicated. I was just calling to ask if I could—”
Williams cut him off.
“Remember what I told you,” he said coldly. “Use the muffler. Keep it clean.”
He hung up without waiting for a reply.
