Chapter 25
ISIDORA
SISA
I didn’t know what it was about Blaze, but I always ended up drawn to him like a moth to a raging fire.

A low growl rolled out of his throat, and then he lifted that rugged face of his, strangely relaxed, almost pleased, like some huge lazy wolf asking for more petting.
The sun barely filtered through the curtained windows, but there I was again, staring at those predatory eyes like an idiot completely spellbound. So beautiful… so unreachable… so forbidden…
Blaze might’ve been chained up, might’ve been my slave now, but sometimes I had the feeling he was the one in contro that this was all just a game to him… ridiculous…
I snapped out of it and pulled my hand out of his hair.
“I… you had a little something in your hair…” As always, I blurted out the first stupid thing that came to mind whenever I got
nervous.
“What little something?” he asked in that rough, vibrating voice of his, those golden eyes dropping to my hand with fake curiosity.
He was messing with me again, like a beast playing with its prey.
By the Goddess, when was I going to stop making a fool of myself in front of my own slave?
“Well…”
Before I could come out with another stupid excuse, the front door opened softly.
I turned my head and saw Elessia step in carefully, probably thinking I was still asleep.
But the second her curious gaze landed on Blaze kneeling there, his hands still on my legs, and me standing in sleepwear that didn’t hide much, she completely misunderstood the situation.
“Oh, Goddess… my lady, I thought… I thought you were still sleeping… carry on…”
“Elessia, wait, it’s not what you think!” I jerked away from Blaze like I’d just been shocked.
“Blaze was only helping me with the chain and my foot,” I rushed out, while he rose to his feet and threw my poor friend a sharp look.
“You put a chain on your foot?” she asked, trying to sound respectful in front of Blaze.
“What? No, no. Well, it got tangled when I went to the bathroom with Blaze… I mean, he was in the bathroom and I went after! Not together!!!”
The more I tried to explain, the worse I made it.
“Lady Isidora doesn’t have to explain her private matters to me…” Elessia said in that gossipy, teasing tone I knew way too
well.
And she was giving me that look too. The one that said: “Yeah, right, friend… stop pretending you weren’t doing something indecent with your slave.”
I pinched the bridge of my nose, frustrated.
