The Age Of The Lycans
ISIDORA
Just as quickly as the stabbing pain had come, it was gone.
I took my hands off my belly and quickly pulled my clothes open.

The red fleur–de–lis was tattooed on my soft flesh, glowing with my Estingia power. And beside it…
A blue lotus. Its lines were soft, delicate, and beautiful.
My trembling fingers moved over my skin, feeling that new energy inside me.
Alive. Warm. Waiting to be fertilized.
“Liora… you gave me your blessing…” A tear of gratitude rolled down my cheek, and something moved behind me in response.
I got to my feet, turned around, and watched that grotesque tree begin to change.
The black wood began to turn white.
The color climbed the trunk and spread through the branches until they lost their twisted, macabre look.
Every rotten leaf came back to life, glowing silver beneath the moon.
The huge tree bloomed with magnificent blue flowers, banishing forever the curse that had plagued that place.
Moonlight poured into the bottom of the abyss, illuminating the statues below.
I turned and saw them covering the entire valley. When Liora lifted the curse from those souls, they were finally free.
I watched the stone crack apart, and shadows of men emerged from within, desperately searching for their mates and their wolf spirits.
For a while, ghostly wolf howls echoed through the abyss as they reunited, finally at peace and free.
I started running, searching for him, hoping she had forgiven him the way she had forgiven me.
“I can feel Soul nearby.”
“Vorbol” I cried overwhelmed with emotion as I felt her presence again.

I had to find him… And I did.

Between flashes of light and spirits rising in silver beams into the Goddess’s embrace, I found him, just as desperate, searching for me.
I stopped for a moment, and when Blaze saw me, he did the same.
We stood several yards apart, as if we both needed to make sure the other wasn’t a mirage, that we had truly done the impossible.
Then he broke into a run, desperate joy all over his face, and I ran to meet him, sobbing with happiness.
I threw myself at my mate, and he caught me in midair, burying me against his chest.
“I thought I was hallucinating. Tell me this isn’t another one of that woman’s twisted games. Tell me you’re really here, Dora… that you’re alive…”
“We’re alive, my love…” I cupped his cheeks and wrapped my legs around his waist, my tears falling onto his face.
“Because our love is the most sacred thing in this world, and I’d never give you up. Don’t ever tell me you’re leaving me again, Blaze…”
“Never. No one will ever take me away from you again…”
Tears streamed from his golden eyes too as he spoke in that voice that was both wolf and human.
“Goddess… I was so afraid of losing you, baby. So afraid I’d hurt you, my love…” He won’t stop muttering.
I pressed my mouth to his, and we melted into a desperate kiss filled with an obsessive love that had defied death and was meant to last forever.
I clung to him just as fiercely as he held me.
When I rested my head on his shoulder, breathing in his scent and feeling his heartbeat, I saw Valezka’s silhouette a few yards away through my tears.
She was smiling at me and holding her mate’s hand, finally together after so much pain.
“Thank you,” she mouthed before dissolving into silver light.
She left with her mate, and that was it.
“Let’s get out of here. It’s time to go home… my King…”
