Chapter 63
Chapter 63
ISIDORA
His rough voice rolled through me and sent a shiver down my spine as he guided my hand into his wavy hair,
My fingers slipped between the silky strands, working through a few knots and smoothing them down.
I started by exploring him, just simple touches that grew bolder little by little.
My hand moved through those blond strands, and Blaze’s eyes half closed as he leaned forward, almost resting his head between my breasts, pleased by my attention.
That relaxed, lazy look on his face was new to me. An expression I was sure very few people had ever seen… and I loved being like this with him.
Everything about Blaze was beautiful, but in a primitive way. Rough and seductive at the same time, full of mystery.
“Is your wolf badly hurt?” The question slipped out before I could think it through.
Still, I felt the tension in his body right away. I fixed my eyes on him, and I could’ve sworn those wolfish pupils seemed to pull back, almost like they were hiding from me now.
“I don’t mean it as a criticism, or because of anything bad. I just…”
“I know My Lady isn’t questioning me,” Blaze finally said with a sigh, straightening up.
I cursed my tongue for ruining that quiet moment.
“I suffered a serious wound, and that’s how I ended up captured as a slave. My wolf is recovering,” he explained, serious now.
“I don’t know how long it will take, but I’m strong even without shifting, My Lady. I can protect you…”
“That’s not why I asked!” I rushed to clarify. “I just… I only wanted to know because we’ll earn money, and I could save enough to take you to a Healer…”
“My Lady is so kind.” Blaze suddenly brushed his fingers over my lips, cutting off my babbling.
My cheeks burned with embarrassment. I felt like a little girl being praised, and there was a soft gleam in his eyes.
“I don’t need a Healer. Save the money and put it toward your own power. You have to become the most powerful Estingia.”
His faith in me gave me wings. It made me want to be better for him.
I was still floating in that pink cloud of praise when he suddenly added… “Besides, with a slave as incredible as me, My Lady has to work hard.” He huffed as he stood. “I don’t want the other slaves laughing at me.”
I twisted my mouth as I watched him turn his back and organize the things in the basket.
