An explosion lit up the darkness briefly, revealing a horrifying

scene.

Countless zombies surged down the corridorsome in white protective suits, others in blue patient gownshowling like demons as they charged at the soldiers holding the line.

Bullets rained down relentlessly, but barely slowed them.

Only a direct shot to the head could take one down.

Their attack power, however, was far greater than ordinary zombiesone claw tore through a soldier’s tactical armor, yanking out his beating heart to devour raw.

They couldn’t hold on.

Move!Iris herded her dogs into the elevator in a flash.

Get in the elevator! Retreat!a familiar male voice shouted simultaneously.

Derek and the others rushed into the elevator, covering their comrades with gunfire as they backed away.

Within seconds, Iris spotted several familiar faces: Blake,

Anor, and Damon.

Louisa snapped when she heard the alarm, glaring at Iris at the back, Overload? Kick your dogs out now!

Killing intent flashed in Iriseyes. Overload, huh?

She kicked Louisa hard. “Get the hell out!

Ah!Louisa stumbled out of the elevator, but soldiers standing guard at the entrance grabbed her and pulled her back.

At the elevator’s edge, Damonshouldering a rocket launcher- said firmly, Drop your weapons!

Zombies were less than 33 feet away.

He tossed the rocket launcher into the zombiespath, detonating it to slow their advance temporarily.

Reluctantly, the other soldiers discarded their weapons.

With the weapons gone, the elevator was no longer overloaded.

Louisa mashed the close button, and the doors began to shut.

Just as they neared closing, a female zombie in a lab coat lunged at an unnatural angle from the floor.

Iriseyes turned icy, her superpower gathering in her palmbut a bolt of lightning struck first.

Lightning was followed by fireballs, metal darts, vines, and water orbs.

Almost everyone in the elevator attacked.

Their superpowers were weak, but nearly everyone possessed

one.
