She’d spoken to Liam about having 90% of her memories back now, and he was happy for her. Then he’d asked what the real reason she was calling for was. “I don’t think I’ll be needing you anymore.” Marilyn had been honest with him. “I’m just calling to let you know that, and to say thank you for all you and your family did to help me.”

“All good Marilyn. He’s not breached anything then?” Liam asked simply.

“Not as far as I’m aware, Cameron and the security team have seen nothing here or up at the new house while they fitted it out with a security system. So, after the 19th, I imagine it will be family law that I need, not criminal,” she told him.

“It will be.” Liam stated. “If he gets out of hand after that restraining order ends, just call me and let me know.

“I will, though hopefully it won’t be necessary,” she stated, and she really was hoping that it wouldn’t be. She’d then put a call in to Anabell and asked to speak to Wil “Marilyn?” He questioned, she’d texted him that one time, but nothing since.

“Evening Wil, I need a favour.” She told him simply.

“I’m Calvin’s lawyer,” he commented.

“Yes you are, but seeing as I have just officially let go of Liam as my lawyer, showing you I’m trusting that you’ll be able to keep Calvin under control for this meeting coming up, I want something in return.” She smiled to herself it was time for her to start putting her plans into motion.

“And that would be?” Wil asked.

“I’d like access to Cliffside for a few days. I’ve… got some of my memories back, and maybe going to Cliffside will actually jog the rest of them, I, however…”

“Would like to go on your own.” Wil finished her sentence for her. “I don’t have keys for the house, they stay at Calvins apartment all the time.”

“I know, on the hook by the front door, he also keeps a single spare key in the glove box of his Bentley, or he did. Has the alarm code been changed?” she asked.

“How much do you remember Marilyn?” Wil asked her in return.

“A fair bit, I’d say.” She told him honestly.

“Enough to know he’s never harmed you?” Wil asked her right back.

“Yes, however I still don’t recall getting the divorce or the lead up to it. Maybe being at Cliffside will help with that,” she told him. “Will you help me, Wil?” she asked.

“Yes, because Calvin would not say no to that request either. So I don’t see why not, but why not tell him all of this? He’d be very happy to hear it,” Wil commented.

“Because I will do this on my own Wil. I’ve been on my own most of my life, and dealt with many things

thrown at me. I can handle myself and my life. This is not different to that. I also don’t trust him not to turn up if I’m out there, and he knows it,” she stated.

“Alright, I’ll find an excuse to go to his place and collect the keys for you, he’s away currently.”

“I’m aware.” She nodded.

“Before you hang up, I want something in return for my moving around him. Something I know he doesn’t like. “Wil sighed “He really doesn’t like it.”

“No you don’t.” she stated “I’m going to bring the boys to that meeting on Saturday the 20th. I have already made that decision. The twins also want to meet him. So you want nothing from me, and you’ll get nothing else from me.”

“Your security team?” Wil asked.

“Will, of course, be there,” she told him. “A full reminder to Calvin, that I can, and will hire people to keep myself safe from him at all times.”

“Marilyn, that is not at all necessary,” he muttered. “Not if you recall him.”

“You say that, Wil, but his obsession isn’t just going to go away now, is it? That takes therapy. Is he willing to

go to therapy for me?” she asked curiously and wondered if she could get Calvin to do that. She could make

it a part of the custody agreement she supposed.

“Honestly, I don’t know. You yourself could ask him to I suppose,” Wil murmured.

“I’ll do just that then, see you on the 20th.” She smiled to herself.

“Wait, when do you want the keys?” he asked hurriedly before she hung up.

“At the meeting will do.” she told him.

“Best not then. If Calvin sees me hand you anything he’ll want to know what it was, and why I’m giving it to you. I’ll courier them out to your home address if that’s alright?”

“It is.” she smiled happy things were going to be going her way from this moment onwards.

“Marilyn, I’m glad you’re getting your memories back. That must be nice for you to finally know who you once

were.”

“Hmm, not all the memories are good, Wil.” She admitted and her ones from her childhood they were not so good. “Thank you, Wil. See you soon,” she stated, and clicked the line closed.

She could start putting all that planning she’d been thinking about into action soon A game of her own, which would involve a little payback for Calvin himself. He thought once she got her memories back she was just going to fall at his feet.

That she was going to be the same happy, smiling, loving, good wife that he’d had the pleasure of being married to for those three years. But it wasn’t going to go according to his plans. No, she was going to show him, that he couldn’t just have everything he wanted, when he wanted. No, that man had treated her terribly in Houston, and in front of all that he knew, all those that she also knew, when she’d been Marrin on his arm. She was also not just going to announce that she was Marrin.

She did, however, want to slap that man right in his stupidly handsome face, push and shove him about, maybe even grab a fist full of his hair if she could find a way to do that. That one could be difficult. Do all the
