The Lycan Prince’s Wolfless Slave (Academy Romance) novel Chapter 173

Chapter 173

The hallway is long and narrow, and the torches on the walls are flashing in a way that makes my head throb. Everything is blurry. I’m leaning against the wall for support, dragging my shoulder against the wall.

Going somewhere, sissy?

I freeze. I look up and see Daisy standing a few feet away. Her blurry figure is blocking the light,. She isn’t dancing or laughing. She’s

just standing there, watching me.

Room,I mutter, my head lolling to the side. Going to my room.

You don’t look okay,Daisy says, stepping closer. For once, her voice isn’t biting. It almost soundsconcerned.

You can barely stand. You want me to take you? You’re going to fall and break your neck at this rate.

Don’t go with her,Wyndra warns me. I really don’t trust her. I don’t trust any of them.

But I can barely open my eyes, Wyndra. If I don’t go with her, I’ll pass out right here in the passage. Everyone will see me tomorrow

morning. The Luna will have a field day. She’ll tell everyone that the Alpha’s daughter is just a drunk.

I can’t lose the respect I’ve earned these last few days. I can’t go back to being the girl on the floor.

Fine,I whisper. Help me.

Daisy reaches out and hooks my arm over her shoulder. She’s surprisingly strong. She starts to pull me down the hallway, our

footsteps echoing. As we move, the world gets even darker. The intoxication is getting worse, a heavy weight pressing down on my

Words Daisy is saying. She’s talking, her voice a low hum in my ear, but it all sounds gibberish to

chest until I can’t make out the

  1. me.

We turn a corner. We turn another. This isn’t the way to my room, is it? I want to ask, but my jaw feels like it’s been locked shut.

Then finally, we enter a room. It’s dark, but I can smell the scent of expensive cologne and old books. It’s not my room. Where am

1?

Bed,I moan, my knees finally giving out. I need a bedlie downplease.

Daisy let’s go of me, and I fall forward. There’s a flurry of activity around me. voices, footsteps, the sound of a door clicking shut. I

can’t see anything. My eyelids are so heavy.

Come on, move,I hear Daisy say. Her voice sounds distant, like she’s speaking from the other side of a wall. She’s high as a kite.

The spike worked perfectly.

Drink? What drink?

Chapter 173

Here’s your chance, Ry,Daisy’s voice says, sounding smug. Don’t fuck it up. I’m going back out to make sure no one follows/you.

Ry?

A cold shiver of terror shoots through my body, momentarily piercing through the fog of the drug. I want to jump up. I want to fun.

But my muscles won’t obey. I’m like a passenger in my own body, locked under my own skin.

I feel hands on me. Large, heavy hands. I’m pushed down onto a mattress, my back hitting the soft blankets. I want to scream, to

ask what’s going on, but all that comes out of my mouth is a weak, pathetic whimper. Tears start to leak from the corners of my

eyes, rolling down into my hair.

A face leans into my line of vision. It’s blurry, shifting and changing, but I recognize the shape of the jaw. I recognize the swollen

eyes. The one I punched just this morning.

Ryan.

He’s smiling. It’s a triumphant, ugly smile that makes my stomach turn. He reaches out and runs a thumb over my bottom lip, his

touch making my skin crawl.

Don’t fucking touch me or I’ll kill you! I say. Or at least I think I do because no words come out.
