The Lycan Primee’s Wolfless Slave (Academy Romance)
Chapter 181-
Lyra
“Exiled?” I ask, my voice a whisper as I look up at the Luna whose face is twisted in fury. Then I look at my father. He is still silent. His eyes are fixed on the
floor in shame, his hands tight on the arms of his chair.
Do they really think I’m that girl again? Do they believe I’ll just stay quiet and let them treat me like a criminal?
Suddenly, a memory flashes in my mind. It’s a scene almost identical to this one. I was standing in the same hall, and the feeling is the same. Cold.
Terrifying. Back then, they had accused me of stealing the king’s Neel Diamond. They had been ready to kill me for a crime I didn’t commit.
The Prince had saved me then. He had stepped in and pulled me from their cage and gave me a different cage. I should hate everyone for trying to put a pin
on my life, but at least with Prince Kai, there was no pretense or plotting my demise. I was simply his slave and he saved me from death more times than I
can remember.
But as I stand here, looking at the faces of the people who are supposed to love me, I realize that no one can save me here. Not even the prince. And I can’t
wait to be saved anymore. I have to stand up for myself.
I let out a dry chuckle, the murmurs in the crowd stop instantly. I take a step closer to the pulpit, my head held high despite the pounding in my skull.
“Why would I be exiled?” I ask, my voice ringing out clearly. “And yet, Ryan Kent will face no punishment?”
The hall erupts in murmurs. I see the confusion on the faces of the pack members. I see the way Ryan flinches at the sound of his name.
Luna Sarah looks at the Alpha, her eyes wide with shock. She clearly didn’t expect me to talk back. She expected me to crawl away in shame.
She stutters for a second, her face flushing a deep red. “Well… he will… he will be punished as well, but…”
“But what?” I ask, my voice dripping with mockery. I take another step forward, feeling a strange sense of power surging through my veins. “So the supposed
boy I ‘cheated‘ with gets a slap on the neck, a few weeks of extra guard duty maybe, But you want to exile me? Me, who is supposed to be your daughter?
The one you’re supposed to protect with your very lives?!”
Alpha Rafa finally looks up, but he can’t meet my gaze. He looks away in shame, his shoulders slumped. He looks small. He looks weak.
“I agree with Lyra!”
The voice comes from the middle of the crowd, I turn and see Brenda standing tall. She’s looking at me with confidence in her eyes. I give her a small,
grateful smile.
“Yes! I think the punishment is too harsh for an Alpha’s daughter!” another person yells.
Suddenly, the tide begins to turn. More people start nodding. I hear voices rising in my defense. Daisy looks furious, her tears forgotten as she glares at the
crowd. Uncle Cassian looks pleased as he crosses his arms over his chest. Even Jackson, who usually stays neutral, puts his hand over his mouth to hide his
smile.
“Enough! Luna Sarah screams.
The hall goes silent instantly. Her voice is loud, vibrating with a desperate kind of anger.

Chapter 181
This punishment is even very lenient! It is only because you are our daughter that we aren’t executing you for the shame you’ve brought us! You must be
exiled, Lyta! You must!
1 stare at her for a long moment. Thok at her perfectly styled hair, her expensive jewelry, and the coldness in her eyes. And then, I burst into laughter. It’s a loud, hysterical sound that echoes through the hall.
“You know what?” I say, catching my breath. I accept your punishment, I’ll go. I’ll be exiled. But before you send me away, you must answer just one
question of mine.”
The Luna narrows her eyes. “What?”
“Who are my real parents?”
The confusion in the room is palpable. People lean forward, whispering to each other. The Luna looks like I’ve just slapped her.
“Because you sure as hell cannot be my real parents,” I continue, my voice steady. “Not with how you treat me. I refuse to believe it. I’ve tried for years to earn your love, to be the daughter you wanted, but I’m done pretending you both care. No real mother would set her daughter up like this. No real father
would stay silent while his child is humiliated. So… who are my parents?”
Alpha Rafa sighs and rises from his seat. He looks exhausted. “Lyra, daughter, you are of course our-”
“Don’t you dare call me daughter!” I yell.
My voice is so loud and filled with anger that it seems to shake the foundations of the hall. Everyone gasps. I point a trembling finger at the Luna.
“Don’t you dare call me daughter when you’ve never treated me like one! You!” I snarl at her. “You know your wicked daughter set me up. You know what she did. You know she’s been planning this since I stepped foot back in this pack. But you keep protecting her. You still have the guts to stand there and act like
I’m the criminal? Fuck you!”
