**Chapter 259**
**Talia’s POV**
As I tore through the last of the beautifully wrapped gifts, a wave of emotion washed over me, and I couldn’t help but let a few tears escape down my cheeks. This birthday was unlike any I had ever experienced, especially after being taken from my family by my mother. The warmth of the moment enveloped me, a stark contrast to the coldness of my past. Surrounded by so many incredible people, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for their presence in my life. I felt safe, knowing that my two small miracles—my twin brother and I—were growing up in such a loving environment.
“Alright, Bambina,” Leon announced, his smile radiating warmth as he looked at me and Theo, who was still cradling me in his arms. “I still have a couple of gifts for you two, but we need to head outside for those. There’s one last surprise for you, Talia. Can everyone please make their way outside?”
With that, we all stood up, and Theo gently placed me down, taking my hand as we made our way to the front door. The anticipation bubbled within me as we stepped outside, and what met my eyes was nothing short of astonishing. Rows upon rows of our mafia members stood before us, lined up neatly behind one another. The sheer number of people—around three thousand members from various factions—left me utterly speechless.
“Talia,” Leon called out again, his voice cutting through the awe that held me captive.
Theo set me down carefully, and Leon extended his arms, beckoning me closer. I walked toward him, my heart racing with excitement and trepidation. When I reached him, he looked down at me with a smile that radiated love and pride.
“Happy birthday, Bambina,” he said, handing me a small, elegantly wrapped box. He pressed a gentle kiss on my forehead, and I felt warmth spread through me.
Curiosity piqued, I opened the box to find two shiny car keys nestled inside. The sight of them sent a fresh wave of tears cascading down my cheeks. “Leon, this is too much,” I managed to choke out, my voice trembling with emotion as I looked up at him.
“Not at all, Talia. You deserve every bit of this,” he reassured me, his eyes sparkling with joy. “Do you want to see them?”
Nodding, still in shock, I watched as some of the guards parted, revealing my two brand-new cars. My jaw dropped in disbelief. The first was a stunning 2025 Chevrolet Corvette in a mesmerizing crystal blue, with an interior that boasted an elegant ivy purple and black scheme. The second was an Audi Q6 e-tron SUV, sleek and powerful, in the same striking color as the Corvette.
My knees felt weak, and just as I thought I might crumble to the ground, Leon was there, wrapping his arms around me to keep me steady. “Oh my God, Leon, they are incredible! I can’t… I can’t believe they’re mine!” I exclaimed, tears mingling with light sobs as I buried my face in his shoulder.
“I’m so glad you love them, Bambina. You truly deserve only the best,” he said, lifting me into his arms for a tight embrace. I wrapped my arms around his neck, my legs around his waist, crying into his neck as a wave of happiness washed over me.
He then turned his attention to Theo, handing him a box as well. Theo opened it to reveal his own Audi Q6 e-tron SUV, this one sleek and black.
Once I had calmed down, Leon set me back on the ground, gently wiping my tears away.
“Now, let’s gather everyone,” he said, guiding us to stand in front of the assembled members of the mafia, our families, and friends who had also lined up to witness this momentous occasion.
The other Dons from the various mafia families stood beside us, including Tommy from the Irish mafia, who had taken over after Cillian and his minions were dealt with.
Leon looked down at me, his brotherly smile reassuring me, though I sensed that what was about to unfold would be overwhelming.
“Getting you back with us has been the greatest gift we could ever have hoped for, and today, you’ve given us another one,” he began, his voice steady and filled with sincerity. “Your life has not been easy, but you have shown us all that you are a true mafia princess and a natural leader.”
