The Mafia Princess Return (Talia) novel Chapter 260

**Chapter 260**

*Talia’s POV*

As the warmth of my grandfather’s embrace faded, I turned my gaze towards the gathered members of our newly formed mafia. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation, and I could feel the weight of their expectations resting heavily on my shoulders.

“I know I’m still young,” I began, my voice steady but my heart racing. “And I understand that there’s so much more for me to learn. I’m both astonished and truly honored by the faith you all have placed in me.” I raised my voice, ensuring everyone could hear the sincerity in my words.

“But I promise to take this role with the utmost seriousness. I will do everything within my power to keep each and every one of you safe. For months now, we’ve shared a bond as a large family, and today we stand united as one mafia. We have proven time and again that we work exceptionally well together, and we will continue to teach one another, support each other, and treat one another with the respect we all deserve.” I continued, feeling a surge of determination.

“From this moment forward, we are a united mafia. None of us will ever have to stand alone! We are allies, we are family, we are friends, and we are partners. From now on, we are ONE.” As I declared the final word, I instinctively raised my fist into the air, a gesture that ignited a wave of enthusiasm among the others. The entire mafia mirrored my action, including Sabrina and Amalia, who looked both adorable and serious as they joined in.

“Now, back to work, everyone! And for those of us who are not working, it’s time to prepare for our dinner this evening,” Papa announced, his tone shifting from commanding to warm as he smiled at the families gathered. They nodded in agreement, the camaraderie palpable.

“Before you head back in, Talia,” Leon called out, drawing my attention.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DONNA!” The collective shout echoed around us, followed by a chorus of bows as everyone returned to their respective tasks.

Theo dashed towards me, sweeping me into his arms and lifting me off the ground in a jubilant embrace.

“What do you say we get ready together, girl? Come on, Donna!” Camilla chimed in, her bright smile shining even in Theo’s hold.

“Please, just call me Talia,” I groaned, eliciting laughter from my friends.

“We’ll stick to calling you Donna when it comes to mafia business, how about that?” Leon suggested, his pride evident in his smile.

“That sounds fair,” I replied, glancing around at their smiling faces, feeling a sense of belonging wash over me.

“Leon, are you really sure I’m the right person for this position? It’s a significant responsibility, and I’m only eighteen,” I admitted, my voice tinged with uncertainty as I looked up at my oldest brother.

“You are the only one fit for this role, Bambina. You’ve proven that time and time again,” he assured me, leaning down to plant a gentle kiss on my forehead.

“It’s time to prepare for tonight. We’ve arranged for some hair and makeup stylists to help you girls get ready. Initially, we planned for a family dinner at one of the restaurants, but our new Donna needs to be introduced to all the smaller mafias and gangs. So instead, we will be hosting a banquet at one of the hotels,” Leon explained, and I felt my heart drop at the enormity of the situation.

“Don’t worry, Bambina. You’ve got this, and we will always keep you safe,” Dad said, tenderly cupping my cheek. I managed a small nod, still feeling a mix of shock and excitement.

Gently, Theo set me down, and soon after, Camilla, Aurora, Maya, Sadie, Maria, Olivia, and Simone whisked me away up the stairs, all chattering excitedly about our preparations for the grand event.

After a refreshing shower, the hair stylist worked her magic, drying my hair, curling it, and arranging it into a lovely messy bun, securing it with shimmering diamond pins.
