The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 353

After hanging up the phone, a persistent smile lingered on Julian's lips.

Ethan leaned in curiously.

"Boss, who was on the phone to make you smile like that?"

Julian's lips curved upward. "Was I smiling?"

Ethan pointed directly at Julian's mouth.

"Right there. You can't even hide it."

"It was Chloe," Julian admitted.

"Did something good happen at the company?" Ethan asked.

"We've secured a top-tier asset. Does that count as good news?"

"Absolutely," Ethan agreed. "The tech industry is so ruthlessly competitive right now; everyone is scrambling to poach talent. I heard Adrian just lured away a few executives from a rival firm a couple of days ago."

A thought struck Ethan, and he chuckled.

"He still hasn't given up on finding Storm, though. He's completely obsessed."

Julian offered a faint smile before steering the conversation back on track.

"Mr. Charlie arrived today, and he brought a friend along to discuss a partnership."

Ethan's eyes widened in alarm.

"Why is he there so early? Wasn't he supposed to arrive in a few days? Oh my god! Do we need to fly back immediately? You're the only one in the entire company who is fluent in French."

Julian's gaze softened, and the corners of his mouth tilted up uncontrollably.

"Your goddess is already handling the meeting."

Ethan's jaw dropped.

"She speaks French?"

"She is completely fluent in English, French, and Japanese," Julian replied.

Ethan stood there for a long moment, unable to close his mouth.

My god, if she isn't a goddess, then who is?

"Adrian must be completely blind. He treated her like a mere trophy wife and had no idea..."

Tsk, tsk. The guy was going to be sick with regret one day.

Watching Julian's irrepressible smile, Ethan couldn't help but laugh.

"Boss, do you know what you look like right now?"

"Like what?"

"You look like a proud father watching his daughter graduate from college."

Julian narrowed his eyes playfully.
