The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 361

Stepping out of the house, Audrey's expression had returned to normal.

She walked straight over to Adrian and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Adrian, thank you for coming to pick me up," she said.

Eleanor teased them.

"Oh, am I invisible now?"

Audrey quickly pulled back and hugged the older woman.

"Thank you too, Grandma."

Eleanor laughed. "Alright, alright, I won't interrupt your date. Don't you love the food at Aurelia? I just booked a booth for you two. Go enjoy your lunch together."

Audrey pouted playfully. "You should come with us, Grandma."

"I wouldn't dare be a third wheel," Eleanor replied. "But I can drop you off on my way home."

The car pulled up to the entrance of Aurelia.

Adrian stepped out first and opened the door for Audrey.

After waving goodbye to Eleanor, the couple walked into the restaurant.

Adrian gave his grandmother's name, and a host led them toward their booth.

Although they couldn't get a private dining room, a booth was still better than sitting in the main hall.

They had only taken a few steps when a cheerful voice rang out behind them.

"Miss Evans! You're here. Please, right this way. We've reserved our best private room for you."

Adrian spun around abruptly.

The woman was wearing a pure white cashmere coat that fell to her calves.

Underneath, a fitted turtleneck sweater and wide-leg black trousers accentuated her stunning curves and long legs.

It was a minimalist outfit, yet she carried it with an unmatched, regal elegance.

Her face was no longer clouded with the bitterness and sorrow that used to define her.

Instead, a radiant smile bloomed on her lips, revealing faint dimples that were utterly captivating.

Two French men beside her were watching her with warm smiles as they listened to her introduce the restaurant.

Their eyes were full of genuine admiration.

Adrian stared, completely stunned.

Was this really his ex-wife?

Since when did she speak such fluent French?

It was impossible.
