The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 443

It wasn't strange hearing this from Audrey.

If Caleb knew, Audrey naturally would too.

But Jocelyn was certain Audrey hadn't told Adrian about the pregnancy.

Otherwise, with Adrian's explosive temper, he would have come knocking on her door to demand answers by now.

Jocelyn couldn't be bothered to entertain her.

"Does it matter to you whether it is or not?"

Audrey glared at her like they were blood rivals.

"Of course it matters! I'm about to marry Adrian! And you're pregnant with his baby! You tell me if it matters!"

Getting married?

Jocelyn was highly skeptical of that claim.

After everything that had happened, Adrian was still planning to marry Audrey?

It seemed the Preston family assets were too big of a lure for him to pass up.

"You need to get rid of the baby."

Jocelyn's lips curled into a mocking smile.

"Aren't we giving orders now."

Audrey pressed on, "I can give you money. Name your price. I'll have you know, my dad transferred all his assets to my name a long time ago. So even though he's in trouble, the Prestons are by no means short on cash."

Jocelyn's mouth twitched.

What a disgusting habit.

Trying to throw money at every problem.

Leaning casually against the sink, Jocelyn crossed her arms.

"Well, Audrey, let me tell you the truth. The baby in my belly isn't Adrian's."

Audrey froze.

"Don't try to play me. If it isn't his, whose is it?"

"Who it belongs to is none of your business," Jocelyn said coolly. "But it's definitely not Adrian's."

"You were pregnant before the divorce. Are you telling me you cheated on him while you were married?"

It was a trap.

Audrey knew Jocelyn was pregnant.

If Jocelyn admitted the baby was Adrian's, Audrey would never let it go.

But if she admitted it wasn't, she'd be branding herself as an adulteress.
