By the time Audrey snapped out of it, Jocelyn was already gone.

Panicking, Audrey chased after her.

"Jocelyn!"

Jocelyn sighed in exasperation and stopped.

Audrey ran up to her, panting heavily.

"What did you... what did you mean by that!"

Jocelyn shot her a sideways glance.

"You seem awfully nervous."

Audrey tried to compose herself, but her anxiety was painfully obvious.

"Just answer the question. What did you mean?"

Jocelyn's smile was dripping with implication.

Audrey grew even more frantic.

"What... what do you know?"

Watching Audrey's terrified, desperate expression, Jocelyn had to admit, it felt pretty damn good.

This was the same woman who used to flaunt the Lowell family's backing and Adrian's love to shamelessly assert dominance over her. It was satisfying to see the mighty fall.

"Tell me! What do you know!"

Audrey lost it and lunged at her.

She grabbed Jocelyn's arms with both hands, shaking her violently.

"Explain yourself right now! If you don't tell me what you meant, you're not going anywhere."

People walking by stopped to watch, eager for some drama.

Audrey's face contorted as she screamed at the onlookers like a total lunatic.

"Get the hell out of here! Mind your own business!"

Not wanting any trouble, the bystanders quickly dispersed.

This was the same Audrey who always played the sweet, innocent victim in front of Adrian.

Beneath the fake mask, she was a complete disaster.

"What the hell are you doing!"

Adrian suddenly appeared, his face dark as thunder, storming over.

Jocelyn assumed the furious question was directed at her.

To her surprise, it wasn't.

Adrian roughly tore Audrey's hands off Jocelyn.
