The Mark He Bit Into Me novel Chapter 103

Chapter 7

Sienna woke again to find herself lying in a familiar bed, her back burning with pain.

Adrian sat at the edge. When he saw her stir, guilt flickered across his eyes as he explained, “Sienna, you’re awake? The LED screen fell so suddenly–I just reacted and saved the person

closest to me. I’m sorry. Please don’t be upset.”

She closed her eyes and turned her head away, not giving him even a glance.

What was there to explain? The truth couldn’t be clearer.

Once, no matter where she was, no matter how far, he would always find her first and shield her

with his body.

But now he had changed.

The heart that once belonged only to her had been split in half, shared with someone who had given

him children.

During the days she spent recovering, Adrian seemed intent on making up for things, staying by her side often-but she responded only with silence.

Soon came the welcome party for Celeste’s baby boy.

Adrian hosted the lavish party at his estate. Guests arrived in droves, and even his parents came

from the family manor.

Watching them dote on Celeste and her child with warmth and joy, Sienna couldn’t help but remember the first time Adrian had introduced her to his parents.

Back then, once they learned her “background,” the smiles on their faces vanished. They treated

her coldly, like a stranger. That dinner had been unbearable.

Compared to today, it felt like cruel irony.

At the banquet, Adrian’s gift to Celeste was a stunning set of rare pink diamonds.

His parents presented her with a flawless heirloom jade bracelet.

Adrian’s mother held Celeste’s hand and smiled warmly. “Celeste, this has been passed down to the daughters-in-law of the Prescott family. Today, we’re officially giving it to you.”

Celeste feigned surprise and tried to decline.

Adrian’s mother glanced at Sienna, who stood quietly off to the side, her voice carefully pitched just loud enough for everyone nearby to hear.

“In our hearts, we’ve always seen you as our true daughter-in-law. Some people… they just don’t belong on this stage.”

Adrian noticed Sienna’s face pale and leaned in to whisper gently, “Sienna, don’t take it to heart. My parents did want to match me with Celeste years ago, but you’re the only one in my heart. Just ignore those outdated traditions.”

Sienna nearly laughed. Only one?

Then what about the children he had with Celeste-had they come from thin air?

She said nothing, only feeling like the air around her was too heavy to breathe.

Adrian noticed her discomfort and asked softly, “Are you cold? I’ll run upstairs and get you a shawl.”

He had barely left when a sudden cry came from the center of the banquet.

“Oh no! My bracelet-it’s gone! The heirloom Mrs. Prescott just gave me-it’s missing!” Celeste’s voice rang out in panic.

The room buzzed in alarm.

One of her close friends quickly pointed at Sienna and shrieked, “I saw her sneaking around near Celeste just now! It must’ve been her!”

Another chimed in, “Yes! We saw her too! She’s obviously jealous!”

Without warning, Celeste’s friends surged forward, trying to forcefully search Sienna’s body.

“What are you doing? Get away from me!”

Sienna was both furious and horrified, struggling with all her might, but she was no match for a group of women.

In front of the entire crowd, her gown was torn apart by brute force.

Shame and fury coursed through her.

And then, someone pulled something cold from the lining of her bra.

The jade bracelet.

Gasps filled the air.

“She really stole it!” People began to whisper and sneer in disgust.

Adrian’s parents turned livid. “Sienna! We’ve treated you well-why would you steal from us?”

Clutching her torn gown, Sienna’s nails dug into her palms, yet her voice remained eerily calm.

“I didn’t steal anything.”

“You’re still lying?”
