Chapter 101-2
“I’ll hold you to that, Locke.”
“Hold me to every word, baby.”
He stops, his gaze growing intense as he stares into my eyes. The casual air leaves him, replaced by a deep, heavy gravity.
“What?” I say, a bit unnerved.
“I know how insane this all is,” Locke says. “I know everything between us moved like wildfire. We didn’t get normal dates, right? We got threats and illegal drug operations. It’s chaotic, and it’s fast, and by any normal standard, it probably looks fucking crazy.”
My heart begins to hammer against my ribs, loud and fast. The sheer sincerity in his voice makes my throat feel tight.
“Locke…” I whisper. “What…”
“I’m not waiting for the right moment, or for the fucking drama to end, or for things to be peaceful before I tell you this,” he says. “I love you, Zara.”
The words hang in the quiet space between us, warm and undeniable. My chest tightens, a sudden wave of emotion washing over me so intensely it brings tears to the corners of my eyes.
“I love you,” he repeats, as if he’s been holding the words behind his teeth for weeks and finally letting them free. “I love the way your mind works. I love how brave you are. I love every single piece of you.”
A tearful laugh escapes my lips as I lean closer to him, wrapping both hands around his neck.
“You really don’t do anything halfway, do you?” I ask.
“Not with you, baby. Never with you.”
“Good,” I say, pressing my forehead against his. “Because I love you too, Locke. I think I’ve loved you since the moment you showed up at my shoebox apartment, and ordered Chinese food, and made me feel like I
was safe.”
Locke lets out a quiet breath, and it’s a mix of relief, reverence, and intense affection. He leans forward now, and closes the tiny distance between us.
The kiss starts slow, a tender seal on the promise we just made. But as his fingers thread into the back of my hair and pull me closer, the tone shifts. The tenderness sharpens, catching fire. The quiet emotional relief transforms into a deep, heavy friction that pulls a low sigh straight from my throat.
Locke’s hands move down my back, sliding beneath the hem of his oversized shirt to rest directly against the bare skin of my waist. His palms are hot, rough, and demanding, making my skin prickle with sudden electricity.
He shifts his weight, sliding backward on the sofa and dragging me up with him until I’m straddling his lap, my knees tucked against his hips.

Chapter 10-
“You have no idea,” he murmurs. “No fucking idea just how hard it is to keep my hands to myself in this apartment.
“Who said you had to keep your hands to yourself?”
Locke stops, his eyes flashing with sudden, dark heat as he looks up at me. His hands grip my hips tightly, holding me pinned against him. I can feel the hard, rigid length of his c**k pressing beneath his jeans, warm and heavy against my cunt.
“Is that an invitation, Zara?”
“It’s an order, handsome,” I whisper, leaning down until my lips brush against his. “I mean, unless you want to go back to talking about Route 9.”
Locke lets out a low, rough laugh that vibrates straight through my body. Before I can draw another breath, his hands slide up under the shirt, gathering the soft fabric and lifting it over my head in one smooth, fluid motion, tossing it onto the floor beside the couch.
His gaze sweeps over me, intense and unhurried, taking in the curve of my waist and the soft swell of my bare breasts in the dim purple light. I’m gloriously naked except for a tiny wisp of lace and silk covering my moistening p***y.
“No more talking,” Locke growls softly, his wolf-gray eyes locking onto mine as his large, warm hands slide up to cup my breasts, his thumbs tracing slow, deliberate circles around my hardening n*****s. “Now it’s just you and me.”
