Aripple of sudden curiosity passes through the men. Brow furrows, glances are exchanged, and even Mayhem has to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from grinning wide open.

Locke turns his head, his eyes locking onto mine.

“Every man in this room knows what Zara’s been through,” Locke continues. “You know she fought cancer and beat it. You know what the doctors said about her full recovery, and the odds they gave

her.”

The room goes entirely still. Stitch leans forward slightly, his sharp eyes narrowing with sudden,

intense focus.

“Well,” Locke says. “Her body is performing another miracle.”

He pauses, letting the dramatic weight of the words hang suspended in the warm air.

“We came from the clinic an hour ago,” Locke says. “Zara’s twelve weeks along. The baby is completely healthy, the heartbeat is strong, and in six months, we’re adding a new member to this

family.”

For two full seconds, the shock is so absolute that nobody moves.

Then, the entire room erupts.

Big Mac lets out a deafening, wild roar, slamming his hand down on the long table so hard the water glasses jump and the floor manager near the bar nearly leaps out of his loafers.

“I fuckin’ knew it!” Mac yells, standing up so fast his chair scrapes violently against the floor. “Hell

yes!”

“A baby!” Diesel hollers from down the table, pumping his fist in the air as he shoves Tucker’s shoulder. “Locke’s having a kid! We’re gonna have a mini-Locke running around the clubhouse!”

“God help us all,” Riff laughs, raising his glass high into the air. “To Locke and Zara! To the miracle!”

“To the miracle!” the entire room roars in unison.

Mayhem signals the waiter, grinning wildly. “Bring out the shots… whatever high-end dark spirit

you’ve got back there, bring bottles of it!”

A nervous server quickly scurries over, carrying several heavy bottles with dark red and gold labels, alongside a tray of small heavy-bottomed shot glasses.

“What is this stuff?” Stray asks, squinting at the label as the waiter begins pouring amber liquor

down the length of the long table.

It’s SangSom, sir,” the waiter explains quickly, his hands trembling slightly under thirty intense stares. “It’s a Thai spirit – aged in oak barrels with herbs and spices. People call it Thai whiskey, but it’s actually a rum. Forty percent proof.”

“Thai dark rum?” Diesel repeats, picking up his glass and sniffing it. A grin spreads across his face.

“Smells like spiced vanilla and oak. Hell yeah. I like it already.”

“Pour ’em up!” Mayhem demands, holding his glass high. “Shots all around! Well, except for my

pregnant sister, obviously.”

Even the floor manager seems relieved that the men are thrilled, quickly helping distribute shot glasses to every patch along the table. Alcohol-free sparkling cider is poured for me, while Stitch double-checks that everyone’s glass is filled.

As the commotion settles into happy toasts, a young waitress with her hair pinned back in a loose

bun timidly approaches our end of the table to set down fresh flutes of papaya juice.

Her hands tremble slightly under the gaze of the leather-clad men, but as her soft brown eyes

meet mine and Locke’s, a gentle, genuine warmth breaks over her face. She steps close, leaning in

so only the two of us can hear over the din of the room.

“I… I just wanted to say congratulations to you both,” she whispers, offering a shy, sweet smile. “It’s lovely to see everyone together like this.”

“Thank you,” Locke says, a bit startled. “That’s very kind of you.”

I smile warmly at her, touched by the unexpected gesture, before she quietly slips away back
