Ready to Face Him?-1
The Lycan Academy was nothing like Iva imagined.
It was bigger.
Colder.
Sharper.
A place where power did not whisper-
It roared.
During the day, she tried to hold herself together.
She really did.
Because she had Lori,
And that alone-
That one anchor in a sea of chaos-
Made everything just a little more bearable.

They walked together through the long stone corridors, their steps echoing against high vaulted ceilings, their presence small compared to the towering legacy of warriors and elites that had passed through those halls before them.
And sometimes-
In those brief, fragile moments-
Iva smiled.
A real smile.
The kind she had not felt in weeks.
୮
“I still can’t believe you’re here,” Lori said one afternoon, nudging her shoulder lightly as they walked side by side. “Out of all places… you ended up in the Academy.”
Iva let out a soft breath, her lips curving faintly.
“Neither can I,” she admitted quietly.
And for a moment-
It felt normal.
Like before.
Like home.

But nights-
Nights were hell.
Because the moment she was alone the silence became unbearable.
Claim
Her room, simple and bare, turned into a cage of thoughts she could not escape, her body restless, her mind refusing to shut down as memories flooded in without mercy.
Caleb.
Always Caleb.
His voice.
His touch.
His presence.
The way he looked at her-
Iva turned in bed again, her sheets tangled around her legs as frustration built inside her chest, her breathing uneven.
“Stop…” she whispered into the darkness, her voice trembling. “Just stop…”
But it didn’t.
It never did.
The ache in her chest-
That hollow, burning gap-
It only grew stronger.
More demanding.
More consuming.
Avalon stirred inside her, restless, agitated, equally affected by the distance, by the severed closeness that once grounded them.
“At least…” Avalon muttered dryly in her mind, her tone laced with bitterness, “…we are not feeling the cheating pain anymore.”
Iva’s stomach twisted violently.
Her body reacted instantly, nausea rising so fast she had to sit up abruptly, pressing a hand against her mouth.
“Don’t…” she breathed sharply. “Don’t say that…”
Because just the thought-
Just the image-

Ready to
THIN?!
Of Caleb with another woman-
It made her feel sick.
Physically sick.
Claim
Her chest tightened painfully as she forced herself to breathe through it, her fingers clutching the fabric of her shirt as if that could somehow hold her together.
“I hate this…” she whispered hoarsely.
Avalon didn’t reply this time.
Because there was nothing to say.
They both felt it.
The bond was still there.
Strong.
Unbroken.
And that was the worst part.
Because it meant-
He was still hers.
And she was still his.
Even now.
Even like this.
And yet-
They were apart.
The days didn’t offer much relief either.
Because the Academy was its own battlefield.
Iva had expected difficulty, she had prepared herself for training, for discipline, for physical exhaustion.
But this-
This was different.
This was social warfare.
Power dynamics she had never fully understood before now unfolded in front of her with brutal clarity.
Lycans.
Pureblood Elites.
