Fight for Their Bond-2

She had loved him for years. Had waited for him. Had endured his coldness, his distance, his refusal to commit. She had believed that eventually, he would see her worth. That eventually, he would choose her.

And instead, he had chosen a nobody.

A Delta.

A medical student.

Monica’s fingers tightened around the phone.

“Fine,” she said, her voice cold. “If that’s how he wants to play it, then I’ll play too.”

She opened her contacts and scrolled through the list.

Her father’s number was at the top.

She pressed call.

“Father,” she said when he answered. “I need your help.”

Back at the villa, Lori was beginning to relax.

The morning had been quiet. Attia had made her breakfast-simple eggs and toast, but she had never tasted anything so perfect. They had eaten together on the terrace, watching the sun rise over the mountains. For a few precious hours, the world had felt safe.

But now, as afternoon approached, a dark cloud of unease had settled over her.

Attia was on the phone, pacing the length of the living room. His voice was low, tense, and though she couldn’t hear the words, she could feel his frustration through the bond.

He ended the call and turned to her.

“What happened?” she asked, her voice tight.

Attia’s jaw tightened.

“My father,” he said. “He’s called an emergency Council meeting. He’s challenging the legitimacy of our bond.”

Lori felt the blood drain from her face.

“He can’t do that,” she said. “We’re fated mates. The goddess chose us. Plus, how he find out so fast?”

Attia crossed the room and knelt in front of her, taking her hands.

“He can,” he said gently. “He can challenge it on the grounds that I was engaged to Monica when the bond was revealed. He can claim that I was coerced, manipulated, or influenced by the heat.”

Lori’s eyes filled with tears.

“That’s not true,” she whispered. “That’s not what happened. Plus, you broke the engagement.”

“I know.” Attia’s voice was fierce, “And I will fight it. I will fight it with everything I have. But I wanted you to know what we’re facing.”

Lori nodded, swallowing hard.

“What do we do?” she asked.

Attia squeezed her hands.

“We prepare,” he said. “We gather evidence. We build our case. And we don’t let them tear us apart.”

Lori took a shaky breath.

“Together,” she said.

“Together,” he echoed.

The days that followed were a blur of activity.

Attia made countless calls, meeting with lawyers, advisors, and allies who might support their cause. Lori spent hours in the villa’s library, researching the laws surrounding fated bonds and challenged matings.

She discovered that the Council had the power to nullify a mating-but only under very specific circumstances. Goercion, manipulation, or fraud during the bonding process. If Attia’s father could prove that Lori had somehow influenced the bond, the Council could declare it invalid.
