The convoy reached the edge of the property and slowed to a halt. The wolves poured out of the vehicles, their boots crunching against the gravel. They fanned out in a practiced formation, surrounding the farmhouse from all sides.
Calin stepped out of his vehicle, his presence commanding, his aura pressing down on the night like a weight.
He surveyed the farmhouse with cold satisfaction.
It was modest-a simple structure, white walls, a red tin roof. The kind of place where lone wolves hid from the world, pretending they could escape their past.
But there was no escape from him.
“Secure the perimeter,” he commanded. “No one leaves. No one enters.”
