The Messenger( Iva) novel Chapter 340

Gammas were elite warriors, the backbone of any pack’s military force. They were dangerous, disciplined, and utterly loyal to their commanders.

And there were enough of them here to wipe out his entire convoy.

His arrogance flickered, replaced by a cold knot of fear.

He stepped forward, his voice sharp.

“What do you want?” he demanded. “Who sent you?”

A figure stepped out of the ranks-tall, broad-shouldered, his face carved from granite. His aura burned brighter than the others, a blazing sun of authority that made Calin’s wolf whimper.

The man’s voice was calm, measured, and utterly without emotion.

“Alpha Calin of the Bloodfang Pack,” he said. “You are under arrest for the unlawful imprisonment and torture of a pack Luna. For the abuse of your authority. For the attempted murder of a royal witness.”

Calin’s composure shattered.

A laugh burst from his lips-sharp, incredulous, desperate.

“Arrest?” he repeated. “On what authority? Who do you think you are?”

The gamma’s lips curved into a cold smile.

“We are the Praetorian Lycan Army.”

The words hung in the air like a death sentence.

Calin’s face went white.

The Praetorian Lycan Army was legendary-an elite force directly under the command of the Lycan King. They answered to no one else, bowed to no other authority. They were the King’s personal enforcers, tasked with upholding the highest laws of the land.

And they were here. For him?

Calin’s eyes darted around the clearing, searching for an escape.

There was none.

The Praetorians had surrounded him completely. His wolves were outnumbered, outmatched, and utterly trapped.
