The Messenger( Iva) novel Chapter 341

But the gamma raised his hand.

And the Praetorians moved.

Claim

It was over in minutes.

Calin’s wolves surrendered without a fight, their weapons clattering to the ground as they were surrounded by overwhelming force. Gregor was the last to fall, his body slumping as a gamma’s fist connected with his jaw.

Calin stood alone in the center of the clearing, his hands raised, his eyes blazing with

defiance.

“This isn’t over,” he snarled. “You think you’ve won? You think the King can touch me? I have connections. I have allies. I will-”

“You will be silent,” the gamma interrupted, his voice cold as winter. “Or you will be gagged.”

Calin’s mouth snapped shut.

The gamma stepped forward and secured his wrists with a pair of silver shackles.

Calin’s eyes widened.

“Silver,” he breathed. “Are you insane?”

The gamma’s smile was thin and cruel.

“You are a dangerous man, Alpha Calin. We are taking no chances.”

Calin was dragged toward one of the waiting vehicles, his feet stumbling over the uneven ground.

His mind was racing.

This was not over.

The King might have sent his army, but Calin had resources-money, connections, allies who owed him favors. He would find a way out of this. He would rebuild. He would take back what was his.

And when he did, he would make them all pay.

He would make the King pay.

He would make Attia pay.

And he would make Meriem pay for every moment of humiliation she had caused him.

Calin was shoved into the back of an armored vehicle, the door slamming shut behind him.

As the convoy began to move, he stared out the window at the dark landscape, his eyes burning with cold, calculating fury.

This was not the end.

This was just the beginning.

The SUV hummed softly as it moved through the darkness, its tinted windows shielding the occupants from the chaos outside. Inside, the air was thick with tension and the lingering

scent of fear.

Attia sat in the center of the back seat, his body angled protectively toward Lori. His hand rested on her knee, a grounding touch, his eyes fixed on the window. Beyond the glass, the Praetorian forces were still securing the perimeter, their movements precise and efficient.

Meriem sat on the other side of Attia, her knees drawn to her chest, her arms wrapped around them. She was trembling, her eyes darting from shadow to shadow, as if expecting an

attack at any moment.

Lori reached over and placed her hand on Meriem’s arm.

“It’s over,” she said softly. “They have him. He’s not going to hurt you anymore.”

Meriem’s laugh was hollow, brittle.

“For now,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Attia turned to look at her.

“What do you mean?”

Meriem shook her head slowly, her eyes distant.

“He’s not the kind of man who gives up,” she said. “He has resources. Connections. He’ll find a way out of this. He always does.”

Attia’s jaw tightened.

“The Praetorians don’t make mistakes,” he said. “He’s facing the King’s justice. There’s no escape from that.”

Meriem’s expression didn’t change.

“I’ve learned not to trust in justice,” she said quietly.

The SUV door opened.

The gamma commander stood in the doorway, his face impassive.

“It is done,” he said. “The Alpha has been captured and is being transported to the royal holding facility for further judgment.”

Attia nodded.

“Thank you, Commander.”

The commander inclined his head, his eyes flickering briefly to Meriem.

“She will be safe now,” he said. “The King has issued a formal protection order. No one will

touch her.”
