Anthony? Lottie pressed her lips together and slowly lifted her gaze, studying the babies on the screen with a bit more scrutiny.
"The nose, the eyes, and the lips look very much like Mr. Blair's," the doctor said with a smile. Attempting to keep things fair, he quickly added, "Of course, there are features that resemble you as well, Mrs. Blair."
"Oh?" Lottie stared at the two blurry shapes on the monitor, entirely unconvinced. "Like what?"
"The eyebrows," the doctor replied earnestly, pointing at the practically invisible brows, lying through his teeth to offer a compliment.
Lottie gave the doctor a long, hard look, nearly laughing out of sheer exasperation. So, after ten grueling months of pregnancy, both kids ended up looking exactly like Anthony, and she was just getting a participation trophy?
Looking like Anthony... Lottie pinched the bridge of her nose, her expression troubled. That was going to be a real problem. How was she supposed to discipline a face that looked exactly like her husband's?
"But the babies aren't fully developed yet. As they grow, they might end up looking more like their mom," the doctor hurriedly reassured her, noticing her darkening expression.
Whatever. Having three identical, striking faces in the house wouldn't be the worst thing to look at.
"Thank you," Lottie said, hopping off the bed. She patted her stomach and walked out to the adjoining room.
"They'll be out soon," Anthony was saying on the phone, her coat draped over his arm. Hearing her approach, he turned to her. "It's Dr David."
Dr David? The mention of the name made Lottie's fingers curl tight as her expression turned serious. "Are the blood test results out?"
"Yes," Dr David replied over the speaker. "I called the moment they came in. The results..."
Charlotte had previously taken the antidote for her genetic mutation, but whether the babies were infected could only be determined late in the pregnancy. Seven and a half months was the optimal window for testing. It was exactly the right time.

História tem drama romance e comédia lottie mocinha forte que não leva desaforos Antony completamente apaixonado por ela.
