But considering that Lydia's neighborhood had impossibly narrow alleys, driving a car would be a nightmare; taking a motorcycle was the only viable option.
A motorcycle meant extreme speeds, and dressed that thinly, she wouldn't be able to withstand the wind chill!
"You're an absolute nightmare!"
With a frustrated groan, the young man dashed back inside, grabbing a random pair of his own pants.
He bounded down the stairs, caught up with the girl, and shoved the pants into her arms. "Put these on. Now!"
Elena shimmied into the pants, finding the waist ridiculously loose. She had to hold them up just to walk, figuring she would have been better off without them.
Knowing the young man was frantically worried about his crush, she simply used one hand to hike up the pants and quietly followed him into the garage.
The manor's garage was immaculately lit and sprawling, housing an absurd collection of luxury supercars.
Elena sighed silently, marveling at how the world of the ultra-rich never failed to open her eyes!
As Sterling marched toward a sleek black motorcycle, he grabbed a helmet and shoved it at her.
Seeing he was about to get on, she quickly stopped him. "Sterling..."
"Elena, she's in danger. Stop picking fights for no reason!"
The young man's voice was bone-chilling. He hadn't wanted to bring her in the first place, but since she stubbornly tagged along, he had just dealt with it.
Now that she was actively delaying him, he couldn't help but assume she had ulterior motives.
But the next second, the girl snatched the motorcycle keys right out of his hand. "Sterling, your head is a mess right now. Riding like this is a death wish."
"Elena, give me the keys!"
Sterling, naturally beyond reason, scowled fiercely.
But Elena didn't argue. She swung her leg directly over the bike. "Get on. I'll drive."
Sterling's jaw clenched, finding her completely absurd. He reached out to drag her off. "Elena, can you please stop making this worse..."
*Vroom—*
Before his impatient words could finish, the girl cleanly fired up the engine, executing a flawless, aggressive spin to pivot the bike so the rear seat stopped exactly by his side!
