The Moment I Stepped Into His World as the Fake Girlfriend, I Became the Real Prize novel Chapter 2

Before he even saw her face, he was hit by her rich, intoxicating fragrance—crisp and utterly captivating.

Because he'd been drinking, his footing was a little unsteady. She casually caught his arm and smoothly pinned him against the wall by the door.

As he stood there dazed, her lazy, seductive voice drifted over. "Hey there, kid. You look a little young. Are you even of age?"

When he looked down, the gentle hallway lights illuminated a breathtaking face, fox-like eyes, and a faint smirk playing on her lips.

What surprised him more was the slim cigarette held casually between her fingers. The pale smoke swirled lazily into the air, adding an extra layer of undeniable allure.

She was a bad girl—a staggeringly beautiful bad girl. She was the absolute opposite of the girl he liked, making her the perfect candidate. He chose her on the spot.

"You think I'm an escort, so you want to hire me to be your girlfriend?"

Hearing his pitch, she raised an eyebrow and looked him up and down. "Is this a new pickup line? Or are we roleplaying?"

"Sorry, I'm going to have to pass."

She rejected him flat out, turning on her heel and strutting away gracefully in her stilettos.

Staring at her retreating back, he suddenly called out, "A hundred thousand a day."

It was just hiring a fake girlfriend with no actual physical intimacy required. He had originally planned to offer a million dollars as a one-time flat fee.

But in that moment, he changed his mind.

"Alright, whatever you say, Master Sterling."

The next second, she stopped, glanced over her shoulder, and flashed him a mesmerizing smile.

The memory flashed by in an instant. Sterling snapped back to reality, slowly lifting his eyes just in time to catch Elena winking at him.

It was that exact smile—the one that drove a man crazy.

He knew she was a messy, bad girl, yet her teasing was making him lose control in the most shameful way.

He knew this felt like a betrayal to his crush, which instantly soured his mood. It was all Elena's fault for being so damn seductive!

"Play your part, and don't get any funny ideas. I've seen plenty of women like you, and I have absolutely zero interest!"

Sterling tensed up, a faint trace of disdain flashing in his eyes. "And even if this is just an act, you'd better know your limits. Don't actually touch me... You're dirty, understand?"

The thought of how many men must have been in her bed made Sterling's expression ice over. He silently cursed himself for being so pathetic.

To actually get turned on by a cheap, dirty woman like her!

But right now, that wasn't the issue. Watching the black Bentley pull up, Sterling recognized it as Xavier's car.

Fighting down the strange heat in his body, he quickly muttered some background info to Elena. "You're lucky. The first person you're meeting is my older brother, Xavier. He's always been a favorite with the ladies, so he probably won't give you a hard time..."

He paused, suddenly remembering something, and his tone shifted abruptly. "But he's been acting really unhinged for the past six months. Word is, he got played by some woman. He bent over backwards for her, acted like a total simp, and she still dumped him. He's been searching the whole world for her ever since!"

Elena froze as she listened, a creeping sense of familiarity washing over her.

"Xavier has always been the one doing the dumping. She's the first woman who ever dared to drop him. She'd better stay hidden and pray he never finds her, or else... heh, she won't be able to handle the consequences!"

As he finished speaking, the realization finally hit Elena, and a completely absurd theory formed in her head.

No way. Impossible... The city was massive. There was no way she was unlucky enough to deliver herself right to his doorstep, right?

As the thought crossed her mind, she glanced out the window, spotting the Bentley pulling up right beside the Rolls-Royce. The window was slowly rolling down—
