The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 14

Chapter 14

“Do you know what’s in it?” She asked.

“Yeah. A dress.” I said.

“It looks expensive. Just from the box.” She said.

“I know. That’s why I’ll take it to the real owner today.” I said.

“Alright. I better go.” She said.

“Try not to overdo it.” I said.

“I’ll see you later.” She said.

“Bye.” I said.

As soon as mom left I grabbed my stuff and left the house as well and I walked around town trying to see if there was anyone hiring at the moment.

I knew that it would be a menial job, but I didn’t have school anymore. And I knew that I would need money to get that dress cleaned and returned and I would need money to go off to college. 1

I also wanted to help mom out with the bills and everything that she’s going through at the moment.

I finally stopped at the factory across town that was responsible for collecting all deliveries and they would sort them out and then put them onto smaller trucks and deliver them to the stores and businesses around town.

I went in there and the manager was sitting behind his desk and looked surprised when I walked in.

As large as this pack is, I was still pretty well known around here.

“What can I do for you?” He asked.

“I was hoping that you would have a job vacancy.” I said.

“I thought you were still in school.” He said.

“I was. But I’ve got all the credits that I need so I’ve graduated. I’ve finished.” I said.

“Wow. A couple months early. That’s impressive.” He said.

“Thank you.” I said.

“Do you know what you want to do after this?” He asked.

“I’m not sure yet. I do want to go to college and I’ve got some applications out there. But I have to wait and see.” I

said.

“Alright. Well, we do need more help around here. People are complaining that they aren’t getting their deliveries on time. I’ll let you start tomorrow.” He said.

“Great. Thank you so much.” I said.

“Not a problem. I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said.

“Bye.” I said.

I left the factory and I pulled my jacket closed as the wind started to pick up and I could practically smell the snow in the air.

I knew that it wasn’t far away and I was dreading it. Only because I don’t have a car and I live on the other side of

town.

When I finally got back to the trailer, I went inside and started making something to eat when I noticed that the box wasn’t on the table anymore.

I looked around the whole trailer thinking that maybe mom had come home and moved it or something like that. But it was nowhere to be seen. A dress that had to be worth a fortune had just disappeared while in my possession.

I was screwed.

I grabbed my bag and I left the trailer and walked through the woods until I got to the packhouse and as soon as I got there, I leaned against a tree looking at the house.

I saw a strange car in the driveway and knew that there was a possibility that the Alpha would be busy, but I knew that I had to go and talk to him.

I slowly walked up to the front door and I ran the doorbell.

An omega opened the door and she looked me up and down and didn’t say anything. She actually gave me a smug look like she was better than me.

“I need to speak with the Alpha.” I said.

“He’s busy.” She said.

“With what? This is important.” I said.

“He has company.” She said.

“Fine. Just tell him that I need to speak with him when he’s free.” I said.

“I’ll try and remember.” She said.

“You know who I am. And you know how pissed off I get when people annoy me. Don’t make me wait for you to get off work, because I will. Just give him the damn message.” I threatened, before I turned around and walked

away.
