The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 142

MORGAN POV

Ever since that night I saw Savannah, I’ve barely been able to sleep. I’ve been the last one to bed and the first one up, every single day.

I have exhausted all resources to try and find out who the hell she is and where she came from.

She was obviously with the hunters but she didn’t smell like a werewolf. She smelt like one of them.

She’s been isolated away from werewolves her whole life that she doesn’t know who we are, how special we can be and what an amazing and strong woman she really is.

We were still hunting for any signs of where the hunters were operating from, but we still had no idea. They could be anywhere and they were human so that made things even harder for us.

We had the werewolf community on our side but they had the whole human community if they wanted to reveal what we are.

But I don’t think they wanted the humans to know about us. That’s why they’re trying to take us out. Because they think that we’re a threat, when really, we protect humans. We do whatever we can to protect them. We don’t want to hurt them at all and the government already knows that.

We’ve been through this with them. So, I was trying to figure out if this was some way of the government getting rid of us without letting us know that it was them because they promised us immunity after we destroyed those creatures that were actually killing humans.

“You’re up early.” Ezra said, sitting up in his bed while I was sitting at the desk in our bedroom.

“I know. I’ve just been trying to get some research done.” I said, closing the laptop.

“Come here.” He said.

So I walked back over to the bed and he pulled me onto the bed and he pulled me close to him and engulfed me in his arms.

“I know that this is driving you crazy. But we’ve got scouts out there and we are doing everything we can to try and find them.” He said.

“I just wish it was that simple. We have no idea where they are. They were well too organized to be a rogue band of humans that are hunting us.” I said.

“There’s hundreds of people in that pack. How the hell could they take everyone out like that?” I asked.

“Well, I think it’s pretty safe to say that they are very well organized.” Ezra said.

“And there’s a lot more of them than we thought.” I said. So he stopped what he was doing and looked at me.

That thought never even crossed his mind. He didn’t even consider how big the hunters were, but I knew that if the council was calling him then he needed to go and deal with it for them.

“That pack is 5 hours away from here.” I said.

“I know. I’ll take the chopper and I will take plenty of backup. I promise. I’ll be back as soon as I can.” He said.

“Just be safe. You could be walking into a trap.” I said. So he leaned down and kissed me before he left the room.
