The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 154

“Damn. I was sent there. I was told to get something from the packhouse but Luna Morgan saw me and stopped me.” I said.

“Yeah. Her and Ezra. They are dangerous. They are the toughest leaders of any wolfpack. They are legendary. And that’s why we don’t mess with them. Not yet. I’m surprised that your last Captain sent you in there.” He said.

I was starting to think the exact same fucking thing.

As soon as we finished lunch Justin took me out to the field and we had to run laps of the base. The whole base.

The fence was electrified, so we needed to be careful and not touch it while we were running around the perimeter of the fence carrying packs on our backs that weighed 110 pounds.

Justin made sure that the pack was on comfortably before we started jogging around the perimeter.

I saw others doing the same thing, but they didn’t have packs on.

They were wearing green though. The Captain already said that we were the elite squad so I guess that meant higher standards for us.

That really sucked.

The base was roughly 10 acres and once we ran the whole distance once, I was dripping with sweat but Justin didn’t stop.

We were going around again and I thought he was fucking crazy.

I couldn’t let him see it though. I had to make sure that I kept up. I needed to make sure that they didn’t think I was weak.

I had to show them that I was just as good as anyone else here.

As soon as we got to the bottom floor of this bomb shelter, I could hear the shots being fired from outside the door.

We grabbed our gun of choice off the wall and I made sure that mine was fully loaded and I grabbed a couple of extra clips and we walked into the shooting gallery.

When we walked into the room I saw how massive it actually was. And it wasn’t just a shooting gallery. It was a full on target gallery with walls and everything to hide around.

Some targets were werewolves, some were human and we obviously lost points if we hit a human. And it wasn’t just standing still like I thought it was.

We have to run this obstacle course and shoot the proper targets.

I was already wishing that this day was over.
