She knew exactly who that was.
An international criminal. Murder, robbery, smuggling, human trafficking—there wasn't a single dirty business he wasn't involved in.
In recent years, he had heavily moved into the underground organ trade. The number of people who had vanished by his hands was innumerable.
Lawrence making a deal with him...
As Asher said, it was a direct hit on her life.
Stella scoffed. "It seems not everyone in the Sinclair family is completely useless."
But even if Lawrence wasn't entirely useless, he was still an absolute idiot.
This was the city. Did he think he was invincible, or was he just tired of living a free life?
Asher clarified, "Nathaniel's people approached him first."
Stella paused.
She took back what she just said. Every single Sinclair was useless and completely brainless.
She had just been wondering how a pathetic loser like Lawrence managed to contact Nathaniel.
Turns out, they found him.
"Nathaniel's people found him? Why?" Stella was genuinely confused.
A man like Nathaniel, who had survived in the criminal underworld for years, was undeniably resourceful.
Would someone like him really go out of his way to seek out a nobody like Lawrence?
And right after being contacted, Lawrence immediately sent Danie to get her.
So Nathaniel was coming specifically for her?
They didn't have any bad blood, did they?
Asher explained, "It's likely because of his grudge against Sebastian."
"He has a grudge against Bash?" That, Stella didn't know.
"Yes."
Asher quickly recounted how Sebastian had systematically dismantled Nathaniel's underground operations in the States.
He detailed exactly how many men Nathaniel had lost to Sebastian, and the astronomical financial hit he had taken.
Listening to the story, Stella's smile grew wider and wider.
"So Nathaniel wants to use Lawrence to capture me, so he can threaten Bash?"
"Yes."
Capture her? Ha.
Her smile morphed into something entirely wicked. "It seems Nathaniel only knows about my three years of acting like a pathetic housewife."
