During her three years at the Sinclair estate, how had he never realized this woman had such a massive appetite? Wasn't she afraid of choking to death on it?
He really needed to find out who the powerful man backing her was.
Lawrence was fuming, but he still followed Stella's order. He looked at Carson. "I want 1.5 billion dollars."
"Mr. Sinclair, do you think $1.5 billion is just pocket change?"
Carson might have been an idiot, but he had run enough operations to know how this worked. Deals weren't made like this, and money wasn't demanded like this.
Lawrence stated firmly, "Wire $1.5 billion to this account, and I'll have her smuggled out of the city by tomorrow."
He gritted his teeth.
He knew he had to offer a massive guarantee, or else the money wasn't going to be handed over.
And if he didn't secure the funds today, that psycho Stella really was going to take half his life.
Seeing the damage she had done to the Channing family and the absolute state Julian was in...
Listening to his strained voice, Carson narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Are you serious about this, Mr. Sinclair?"
His boss was extremely anxious to get his hands on this woman.
'Tomorrow' was an incredibly tempting timeline for them.
Lawrence confirmed, "Dead serious."
"Fine."
Carson agreed, purely for the sake of the timeline.
Lawrence tossed the card to him. "Wire the money here."
Carson looked at the card on the desk, then back at Lawrence. "You'd better be sure about this, Mr. Sinclair. If you fail to deliver her out of the city by tomorrow, my boss will..."
He didn't finish the sentence, but the lethal threat in his eyes was unmistakable.
He added slowly, "My boss doesn't play nice."
Lawrence's heart skipped a beat.
Damn it. None of them played nice. Was he the only one expected to roll over and take it?
But knowing this foreign thug couldn't touch him here in the city, Lawrence clenched his jaw. "Don't worry. I promised, and I will deliver. Wire the money."
This guy couldn't hurt him right now.
But that absolute lunatic Stella would literally do anything.
She had bulldozed the Fitzgerald family's cryo-chamber without batting an eye. She clearly didn't care who she was crossing.
Offending this many people, she shouldn't be surprised if she ended up kidnapped off the street one day.
