"Seraphina!"
Stella called out.
When she looked at Giselle, her eyes clearly lacked the cuteness they associated with their 'little thing.'
Her gaze carried the same oppressive weight as Bash's.
But she still called out, "Giselle."
Giselle's mouth twitched.
Wait, when did this little menace get here? Did she hear everything she just said?
Sure enough, you shouldn't talk behind people's backs.
And right now, she looked nothing like the obedient girl from their childhood. Her aura was freezing cold.
But no matter how cold, she was still their little thing.
"Look, whatever you do, don't mention this to Bash. I didn't mean anything by it."
If Bash found out she was badmouthing Stella.
Who knew how much of her prized possessions he'd extort to compensate the girl!
Thinking of all the blood she had bled for Bash over the years, Giselle instinctively wanted to dodge.
In short, she couldn't give these two any chance to shake her down!
Stella smiled faintly and stepped forward. "I heard you say I have brain damage."
Giselle was speechless.
Seriously, was her hearing that good? She hadn't even been loud. How did she catch all of that?
The moment Stella stopped in front of her.
Giselle immediately pulled a thumb-thick diamond necklace from her pocket.
She shoved it straight into Stella's hands. "Will this keep what I said out of Bash's ears?"
Stella fell silent.
Seraphina was stunned.
Stella looked at the chunky diamond necklace in her hand. This... had to be worth tens of millions of dollars!
"You're always so generous, Giselle!"
Giselle was speechless.
She had to be! If she wasn't generous now, and this reached that bastard Bash's ears, one necklace wouldn't settle it.
He would loot her blind just to spoil this girl!
"Don't worry," Stella said, quickly pocketing the necklace. "Bash will absolutely never know what you said."
She moved fast, terrified Seraphina might snatch it back a second later.
Giselle watched her money-grubbing expression...
And scoffed, "You've scammed plenty out of the Sinclairs these past two days, and Channing Group is back in your hands. Are you still this greedy?"
"Who doesn't love money!"
Stella said as she walked over and sank into the armchair next to Seraphina.
"Where's Bash?"
"They're in the study talking business," Seraphina replied.
"Didn't you say we were one short? What kind of short?"
"Your mother pulled that stunt stateside, and Landon took a massive hit. Aren't you going to show some appreciation?" Giselle asked.
Stella understood immediately.
Giselle was telling her to settle the score at the card table.
Stella nodded. "Appreciation. I will definitely show my deepest appreciation."
Just as she finished speaking.
Her phone buzzed. It was a text from Asher: [Julian is already on his way to the Vance estate.]
Stella raised an eyebrow. That fast?
He was that eager to watch her make a fool of herself... Well, they'd see who the real joke was tonight.
