The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 156

"Don't worry, she'll definitely be crying as she begs to come back with me tonight!"

Julian declared with absolute confidence.

By his calculations, he would arrive just in time to see Stella looking pathetic after being tossed out by the Vances.

Thinking of her arrogance over the past few days made Julian grind his teeth in hatred.

Beat her, the Vances had better grind her bones to dust. Let her realize that in this city, besides the Sinclairs, no one would ever let her through their doors?!

Lawrence hummed in agreement.

But he couldn't help but issue a warning. "You know the drill. If you don't bring her back today, don't bother coming back to the estate either!"

However, just as he finished speaking, Julian's hysterical, agonizing screams erupted from the phone. "Ah— Ah!!"

Lawrence was stunned.

Arthur, Eleanor, and Vivienne all froze.

The phone was on speaker.

Hearing Julian's consecutive screams made their hearts shudder in unison!

Vivienne and Eleanor exchanged panicked looks.

Then they both snapped their gaze to Lawrence. Lawrence instantly snapped out of it and yelled into the phone, "Julian! Julian Sinclair?"

But there was no voice from Julian.

Instead, someone shouted, "Why did he pass out?"

Following that, a chaotic clamor of background noise echoed through the line.

Lawrence's breathing hitched. "Julian, say something! What the hell is going on?"

Damn it, the person who passed out couldn't possibly be him, right?

Tonight was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to bring Stella home. How could he pass out?

"Julian, Julian?"

But no matter how much he yelled, Julian's voice was absent. He had seemingly vanished on the other end of the line.

Lawrence and Arthur's faces darkened instantly!

Furious, Arthur snatched the phone from Lawrence's hand.

"Julian Sinclair, speak to me!"

He roared sternly into the receiver.

But there was still no sound from Julian.

Enraged, Arthur smashed the phone onto the floor. "Useless trash! What kind of stunt is he pulling now?"

Seeing this, Lawrence rushed to the landline nearby, picked it up, and dialed Danie Greer.

She answered quickly. "Mr. Sinclair."

"Find out exactly where Julian is and what happened to him, immediately!" Lawrence ground out every syllable through clenched teeth.

Danie's heart trembled. "I'll look into it right away!"

He hung up the phone.

Lawrence pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. Arthur's expression was incredibly grim.

Eleanor's face was even worse. The look she shot Vivienne was so lethal she practically wanted to eat her alive.

Even though this situation had nothing to do with Vivienne, she didn't dare utter a word of protest!

...

Compared to the heavy atmosphere at the Sinclair estate.

The Vances' family dinner concluded harmoniously. The old man went to bed early due to his age.

The younger generation set up a card table right at home!

Landon, Giselle, Seraphina, and Stella formed a table of four...

Sebastian and Xavier Vance probably had business stateside and had retreated to the study after dinner.

As soon as she sat down.
