Stella stammered a few words to Sebastian and quickly hung up the phone.
Holly stared at her. "That really is surprising. Just how good is your relationship?"
Three years...!
Three years of betrayal.
Holly assumed they would go through a long period of angst, but this was it?
The entire city was saying the Vances hated Stella to the core!
And this was how they hated her...?
"How good..." Stella mused. "Probably very, very good."
Just how good, Stella couldn't quite put into words.
The scene at the airport abroad flashed through her mind. Sebastian's gaze at the time had been searching, almost seeking confirmation.
She had genuinely thought he wouldn't forgive her because of that disgusting trash, Julian.
But the moment his strong arms pulled her into his embrace.
She had wanted to murder Julian and that parasitic spirit even more...
"Cherish it, bestie," Holly sighed. "If I had someone like that, I..."
She paused.
As if recalling something, Holly swallowed the rest of her sentence, her expression dimming.
"What is it? Don't tell me you still can't let go of that guy? He's..."
Stella stopped herself mid-sentence!
She watched Holly look utterly pathetic.
"Of course I can't let him go," Holly muttered. "I just want to stab them both to death!"
Stella was speechless.
"So tell me, how do I get Spiritual Amnesia!"
Let the evil spirit go to jail for her!
Stella was astounded.
Her best friend really was crazy.
Just as Stella was about to speak, Beatrice's call came in.
Stella declined it immediately and flipped her phone face down.
Holly saw the number. "She still has the nerve to contact you?"
The Channings had been thoroughly tortured these past few days. In less than a week, the company had fully returned to Stella's control.
And those people had truly experienced the feeling of plummeting from heaven to hell!
"All four of them are at a dead end right now!" Stella replied. "Even if I'm a terrifying monster, they want to see if they can find a crack in my armor."
"A dead end?"
Holly was shocked!
"I froze all their bank accounts."
